Am I the only person in the world who prefers Raoul to The Phantom?
I'm not a huge Phantom phan. I think Raoul is a fop, and my friends and I commonly refer to him as "Sir Pouncy Boots." Patrick Wilson, while a lovely actor, was an absolute laugh riot in the film version-- and it's saying something when he's funnier than Gerard Butler trying to sing.
And yet I've always liked Raoul, and I've always rooted for him. I'm not sure why anyone thinks it's a good idea for Christine to end up with a murderous sex-fiend who pretends to be her father.
Anyone else, or am I totally alone?
