brdlwyr, someone was allegedly raped in the house, but none of the cast members were involved.
I enjoy Real World, but the first episode made me very nostalgic for the old seasons when they all just argued about politics and race and who had the worst childhood.

Remember those first Real Worlds when at least some of the people were interesting and their problems seemed to be just a bit deeper than 'whose d*ck am I gonna sit on tonight?'

NY1, LA, SF...some really great tv with some people who actually cared about their futures.

lwyr,

Noticed how I stopped before I got to London. WHO THE HELL CARED?? The only one I liked was the black girl with nodes. She is someone I'd love to hang out with. The rest can be put in a box and dumped into the ocean.

Yup. I knew it wouldn't be long before Danny and Melinda (those are their names, right?) hooked up.

I saw the first episode...but was underwhelmed.

Real World went downhill after Back to NY. Now the whole RW/RR thing is just another trashy show that's all about drama and sex and booze and partying only.

New Orleans is still my favorite season.

"These recent years have all been the same.. You have your crazy bitch, the macho frat boy, and the shy girl. Stereotypes galore!"

Thank you! I've hated all the recent seasons, I miss the people like Heather B. and Pedro and hell, even Puck. Because they were real people living their lives and they weren't just trying to out-drama the previous seasons with drunken faux-lesbian makeout sessoins in the hot tub.

As soon as this show started, I knew it was going to be a bad season. I was right. The only roommate I didn't completely hate with a passion is Nehemiah, and they're already trying to shove him into the Angry Black Man stereotype. He's too good for the rest of the people in the house, and I feel bad that he got stuck with them.

I love bad TV, I even suffered through every episode of Britney and Kevin: Chaotic for the snark-value, but this crap isn't even worth my time anymore.

Teth, I'm with you - season nine (New Orleans)is by FAR my favorite season! I absolutely *LOVED* Melissa ( especially when she would imitate her parents) & Jamie!

I missed last night's episode. Any good? I don't know how entertaining this season will be, but sure looks like alot of drama. That Johanna girl is crazy when she is drunk.

Alphieboy--I couldn't remember that guy's name who got hit either. But your description in the first post of this thread of boy who got punched was great. :)

Watched the first episode. I was underwhelmed as well. I mean, what's the appeal now that's they've almost all hooked up already? Please, get some interesting people.

EDIT: wow, that was really judgemental.

I do agree the whole thing has become drunken and hookups and stuff, but i thought the downfall of that was the Las Vegas season and it's just gotten worse, the last season I enjoyed was chicago. I was a tad young for the early seasons, though I have seen a bit of SF with Pedro and Puck. I agree the show has completely changed and it's shallower now. Missing out on those earlier seasons...my favs I guess would now be considered the middle ones...Miami, Boston, Seattle, Back to NY, Chicago, New Orlenas to an extent(got boring near the end) and my personal favorite, Hawaii(first season I ever watched).

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

Why did that fight get started?????? From what I saw on TV, it was COMPLETELY STUPID......

The other guy, forgot his name starts with an "N", is not to blame at all......
