I know how hard it is to get ANYTHING made let along distributed...

the only way we get to keep doing it - is if people stop stealing it...

It's sad... OBCRs aren't nearly as popular as mainstream music and they just aren't as profitable.

I always pay - and then get yelled at by certain ppl that I am wasting my money (Well to me I am not)

Excpet for if there is one song (ie: Give me one reason) I want to hear...

Has anyone noticed that Besy Buy has the WORST selection of cast albums EVER - even FYE is better...(B&N seems to be the best)...

There is a Tower record locally that seems to have the best Cast recording section in town.. Our Barnes and Noble is lacking.. I really hope they dont stop making them.. It would be a black day for us..

this is a little game I give my students to impress upon them just how fleeting fame really is...

in 2 minutes make a list of all the famous people you can think of...


after that, go back and cross everyone off the list who hasn't been in anything new (or had a hit) in 5 years....

you'll find the list gets pretty small

rich AND famous is a false assumption..

rich AND/OR famous is more on the mark...

both can go very quickly

in this biz only 2% (TWO PERCENT!!!) of actors work... of that percentage - a millipercent are "stars" - out of the "star" an even SMALLER percent pull down the big, big bucks....

think about it...

I believe so, Ellie. And I always go to Barnes and Noble, they've got a great selection, and with the discout card they're not quite so expensive.

Ellie.. There was a huge petition going around a few months ago.. I haven't checked lately what the status is, but yes they are or were seriously talking about stopping Cast recordings.. And unfortunatley all that would do is increase the illegal boots.. That does no one any good..

I'm ashamed to say that I liked my big fat obnoxious fiance'.. it was funny because she was getting messed with.. I hate reality tv for the most part..
