but I'd never call in just for feeling bummy - (or for feminine reasons either...)

I only miss work if my voice or my body doesn't work...

missing shows for a "hangnail" is totally frowned upon..

(hangnail is a euphamism for anything that's not considered "serious")

it throws off the whole show...

but like - missing for your "monthly"

or missing "cause you just don't feel like coming in"

or missing for a variety of reasons that you can miss work for in the real world...

so true race - so true...

and to tell the truth - one day a week is not enough for most people - especially if you have a 5 show weekend (1 Fri/ 2 Sat/ 2 Sun) you can barely move on Monday - let alone run errands, pay bills, do housework, etc...

What about performing that many shows on the weekend and having rehearsals during the day on top of that. Wouldn't you be really dead then come Monday morning?

you can't have rehersals on a 2 show day...

however - i have done a put-in on Friday afternoon and then the 5....
