i really don't understand why any of us do it if it hurts us physically so much. but we love it. whenever i go for a couple of weeks without throwing a round-off backhandspring (i'm sure you all don't know what that is... oh well), i just start to crave it. and the way all of you talk about losing your voice and wishing you could stop resting it and sing again, i'm sure you all feel the same way.

you do whatever you can..

you try to plan your errands and spread them out during the week

you try to free up as much of your day off for rest as possible

you watch what you eat and exercise regularly to keep up your health and your strength...

and (if your salary permits) you pay a lot of money to massage therapists and/or gyms with jacuzzi's so you can get some physical relief....

Massage.... wow, that sounds good right now...

I guess you do get all day to do the things everyone else does all evening, it's just a time switch.

What's the worst injury anyone's suffered regardless of whether it was on stage or not?

hey! guess what! i went for 2 full days without listening to rent! probably because i listened to it for 12 hours staight during that all-nighter wednesday night and it was eternally stuck in my head, but don't tell anyone that. The Rent Welcome Wagon.

oh, and glory is on The Rent Welcome Wagon.

true som...

that's one of the things i like...

we're off when the rest of the world is on so everyday things like groceries and banking are much easier..

you just have to get your sleep so that you can run errands all day and still have enough energy for the show...

me - i'm a firm believer in the NAP!! my best friend - I basically have 2 days - part 1 errands and life - then nap part 2 gym, food and show..

i have actually been pretty lucky, i haven't been injured too badly, considering the amount of sports i play - gymnastics, field hockey, track, etc...

probably the worst was that pulled muscle in my stomach. it hurt SOO F*CKING bad. you really use your stomach for a lot more than you may think.

after that was probably when i broke my finger last summer. it got caught in my coach's shoelace and got all twisted and it was gross. but it actually hurt a lot less than it looked. i had to leave camp for 2 weeks, though The Rent Welcome Wagon.

Naps are good. I think I'm going to have to start taking those again. High school students should have nap time during the day.

OUCH! The worst injury I ever had was my stingray incident. Not pretty or fun. Hurt like a mother for months.

When my batteries get really low, I sometimes nap during the day for twenty minutes, but I hear it's unhealthy.

That sucks Beka. I've actually never broken something. Odd for someone who was a tomboy and ran around until she got holes in her shoes.

I think the worst one was when I got a staff(spelling?) infection in my knee this year. Plus the fact that it was my already bad knee from a previous injury wasn't fun either.

Naps unhealthy? How? Never heard that one. I'm told I stopped taking naps when I was three.

I've been writing all day my spelling sucks. No I didn't get a tetanus shot because they think something like a cat claw got in there or something. It was not fun. Limped around school for couple of weeks. Had to take meds for it though.
