Ah I understand. I haven't been listening to Rent long enough to have anything annoy me I guess.

Night Beka.

This board is dead tonight. Wierdness.

Rent doesn't annoy me but anything gets old after it's stuck in your head for a few days.

My friend in NY was in that several years back. Didn't get to see him in it though. Kind of sad.

I think the reason I wasn't into Rent when it first came is because I wouldn't have understood the content. I mean I would have had to ask what Contact was. I was a sheltered 8 year old. although they let me see Les Miz, but they had to explain what a prostitute was so...sorry random train of thought.

I saw it last fall and knew NOTHING about it- no hype or backstories. For me, that's the true testament to its power, I had no bias or anyone promising me I'd like it, I just went and was completely floored and moved by the show.

What songs specifically get stuck in your heads?

Well a friend kept on telling me how good Rent was so I tried it out. Songs that get stuck in my head are from Urinetown and stuff. Also the other day I had Babes in Arms stuck in my head. That was kinda bad.

TAKE ME OR LEAVE ME all the time.

oh, and i knew everything about rent before i saw it, because i first heard the soundtrack when i was 10, and i was finally allowed to see it when i was 13. i knew the story front and back and all the scenes, like the white sheet in contact, etc., from my friends that had seen it already, so i knew what to look for. (EDIT - that was a massive run-on, sorry...)

ok, really leaving, bye. Updated On: 12/11/04 at 11:51 PM
