I don'tknow about ushering. I think you could probably call someone for a local company and see about volunteering.

I live in NY, 45 mins or so outside of the city.

Lets see, this winter break I am seeing some 9 shows - then in march 2, may 1...and that's for now...

Wow. I wish I could see that many. I've only seen two shows here, but I'm going to usher in February so that'll be more.

if you are in nyc - call the shubert organization and the nederlander theatres and see if they need any "subs" on the ushering staffs.. that's how you get in.

Ushering is so much fun. I've been doing it for I think six years. Although the year beofre last they'd developed this policy where they wouldn't allow teenagers to usher but somone put in a good word and changed the rule back. I'm so grateful for that. Although i do wish I could do more things than just usher.

Trust me you won't. I think the person who would mess things up entirely if she ushered would be a friend who is autistic. I actually had a weird dream about it. So no is the word I was going to say.
