But you know, I mean you've got the really nice, level-headed guys like George Clooney and Tom Hanks, but they're the rarity. It would be difficult to resist temptation and not get a puffed up ego when you're constantly surrounded by "yes people" and you've got colleagues and fans constantly telling you how great you are and throwing money at you.
It doesn't excuse the behavior, but it sure perpetuates it.

bummer tiff - i like (most) of his work and I'd like to be able to respect him - but it's hard when they act that way...
all the more reason to respect an artist WORK and not get too tied up in the artist....

Even little child actors get snooty...I just wanna say to them, "Talk to me like that agina and I'll step on you!"

at least they are (literal) children - and can be taught....
unfortunately with todays society, we can't hold our breath that they will be taught.. I have two words "Stage Parent".. Ooo those are evil..
Oh god, I bet child actors are worse than adult actors. Adult actors have a life time of years and experience to give them the opportunity to put all of their achievements and surroundings in perspective. Kids don't, and likely their parents spoil them and make them over to be the next Jon Benet Ramsey. Or Mac Culkin.

i wish i could disagree with you - and the sad part is MOST parents are starting to behave the same way...
*don't get me staaaarrrrteeeddd.....

you mean, teached, of course...
I used to help my tennis coach teach her 4th grade class...I met these little girls who were the biggest b*tches I can't even imagine "famous" little girls...
I just have to add to our subject line, since right now it's appropriate in a non perverse way..
It doesn't help that young nyphettes like MK & Ashley, Lindsay, Hillary, Ashlee, etc. all glorify the tween celebrity. I think it's at an unprecedented level, although some may beg to differ. So for a lot of parents, just make Suzie the next Mandy Moore and she's the meal ticket out of Nowhere Land, right?
And for every Ron Howard or Brooke Shields, there's a whole lot more Corey Hart, Corey Feldman, and all those other D-list celebs on The Surreal Life.

I've worked with a LOT of kids... and it really is all in the parents...
one of the "young nalas" on our LK was just the lovliest of little girls.. (now an even lovlier young woman) and that was in great part due to her mother (whom everyone wanted to bitch about her being too "strict" and "hard on the kid" etc...) I could only imagine what they would have said if it was my kid... I think that woman is a terrific mom!
I wish that parents would take a more positive role...

who is MK?
Tough love ain't so bad! Young Nala will be thanking her mom in 10 years when she's down-to-earth and successful, and a humbled individual, and not a drugged out has-been with big hair and bad clothes.

I wish parents would TAKE a role - period!

I don't know any1 with big hair and bad clothes - except if she (or he) was a celeb
haha, well they are all everyday people that you wouldnt know.. I was simply saying that big hair and bad clothes is not a epidemic that hits only former celebs..
Oh okay I get it. I thought you were saying there were respected current-celebs with big hair and bad clothes and I begged to differ. (Diana Ross notwithstanding.)
