nope, chicago is STILL going....although on bway mama morton isn't necessarily a black female role (the original of the revival (haha) was white)

well thanks - i'll talk to my agents after christmas (not that they haven't already submitted me -- they saw me for it already the last time she was "leaving"...)
what's the role in Q?

Queen Latifah was Mama Morton in the movie. Fredi - I can see it, I can see it now. *casts hand over crystal ball*
And what about Fiddler on the Roof? If they can cast Harvey anything's possible right?

gary coleman?
please elaborate...
hehe,
now something I feel intelligent about
Originally, writers Marx and Lopez wanted Gary Coleman to come down and do the readings, but couldn't afford his travel expenses, so instead they came up with the most ridiculous convention they could: rather than hire a Coleman lookalike (scary thought)they decided that the charcater should be played by a woman who looks nothing like Gary Coleman (hence the amazing Natalie Ventia Belcon, who is actually a full foot taller than the REAL Mr.Coleman)
The part calls for a soulful alto with comedic timing
You might wanna look into it
hey everyone.... study break.
Am I too late to join in on the fun?

you mean i might wanna go SEE it!
in my free time......
but I don't really have to worry - I have the GREATEST AGENTS EVER!!! and anything that is really right for me - they get me in on...
now - if I can just get them some more recent headshots to work with..
(once again - in my spare time.... - actually upgrading my entire life in '05)

(She is signed until April in Hairspray)
Natalie Venetia Belcon is currently Gary Coleman - who is now and adult and superintendent of the AQ building...
has two of the best songs: Schadenfreude and You Can Be As Loud As the Hell You Want (When You're Making Love).
Everyone over 15 SHOULD see Q!!!!!!
It's a great show!!!
I'm sorry, when one is constantly trying not to sound like a shizkid for another show, sometimes it pops out

bso - the contracts are 1 year...
we've gone through this game every year since it opened...
i won't be holding my breath - but if they offer me the role - i'll eat it up, natch!

yea, true...but she has been in the show since it opened (not that it means anything) - maybe she'll leave soon...
there's always the tour....haha

not for me...
i'm done with the road unless i'm too broke to say no and I pray it never comes to that..
i've already spent too much time away from my family...

yea, i figured that you wouldn't want to do the tour - well, you can always write a show and star in it....(cause it's JUST THAT EASY)
well friends
I'm out

bso - i love your optimism!!!
i feel the same way -- thus the screenplays i have on the market -
they are quite good (IMHO) and I do believe that I can be the next big thing in African-American film....
After RENT - i really feel like I can accomplish anything - ya know?

unfortunately my optimism is not in this world - it's in an imaginary world (this is coming from someone who wants to see Dracula....again)
i know it's an invitation thing, but do you go to the tony awards?
would you rather be on bway or off-bway? straight play or musical? or just anything you can get?

I've been to the tony's ....
i'll go again if necessary (it's really more of a pain than a party....)
I'd prefer Broadway but I'd do Off-Bway if the role was amazing! I'm waiting for the next "JoAnne" to come along...
Hairspray would be fun and so would Mama Morton -
