get ready star2b - that 5 show weekend is BRUTAL!! (and i'm sure many of you will get to find that out personally one day!)
did i recognize the rushers? you mean the kids who slept outside?
some of them... you couldn't help it - you saw them everyday..
i even got to know a couple of them pretty well (which makes me wonder how this one in particular is doing and i will be dropping an email to same when my computers come back to life....)
but as you guys probably know by now - i'm pretty guarded about my private life and i don't let people in too easily (certainly not as easily as I used to B.R. *before RENT*)

ok, i'm off to finish studying for a math test, then bed. maybe before midnight! that would be a MIRACLE!
i probably won't be on tomorrow, with all the holiday stuff and the last day of school and practice and such.
g'night.
I really have no clue how many times I have seen the show.. I would have to go pull out the playbills.. and they are at home.. **shrugs**
yeah 2 Sat and Sun shows are common in Cali too

You know, there was a thread a while back about actors and fans and whethere or not they can be 'friends'. Thoughts?
Bye Beka!
I think it depends on the actor, and how much of a fan the person is.

bso - that was 20 years ago...
i mean like - where i live - who my kids are and where they go to school....
you know - anti-stalker stuff...
i'll tell certain stories - but you can be sure that for every one i tell there are 20 that i won't.....
"You know, there was a thread a while back about actors and fans and whethere or not they can be 'friends'. Thoughts?"
It's the actor's choice
night beka.. merry xmas if I dont talk to you before
Or happy whatever holiday you celebrate

fans who become friends (at least with me...) ususally stop being "fans" very quickly...
i'm a human - fallible, emotional, imperfect as they come...
take me for what i am....
i can't be up on some pedestal of perfection - i'd break my d*** neck before the week is out....

haha, oh right Fredi...
well, i wouldn't tell random people my address and crap - where I eat all the time - my SSN

Interesting that it can happen at all. I guess a lot of people might think 'fan' and be polite and go away. If a person acts like a person and treats the actor that way, though... makes sense. How does it happen anyhow?

bso - of course you wouldn't tell them...
the difference is *and please don't take this the wrong way..*
random people wouldn't EXPECT that info from you - but they do from me....
why?
because I did a (PDG) broadway show

well, obviously i meant if i were in a pdg bway show

well, it's a strange line to stand on (or cross)
I'm somewhat tight with the cast of Avenue Q but I know I'm just a fan and I'd never be dilluded enough to think I was a friend

pretty darn good (PDG)
WOOO I remember!

Define 'tight' star. How are you tight if you're not friends? Maybe the words just confused me.

good question nia...
one of the ways it can happen (again - this is how i see it...)
i'm just so impressed when people treat me like another person ESPECIALLY when they know "who I am" (I actually feel ridiculous saying that....)
when they appreciate the work i'm doing - AND respect the fact that it is work - just like any other job.... then i am more free to become interested in that person - as a person....
i don't buy into the whole celebrity thing... i've met and worked with BIG "stars" in my day and my modus operedum(sp?) is always the same...
are you a decent human being?
you get X amount of respect because you are my fellow human...
how much will you earn?
after that - it's all about intereaction and how we "vibe" off one another...
i can be COMPLETELY in awe of a persons body of work and still not be awed by the person...
great artists are NOT always great people...

well,
i can seriously say you are a kick-a$$ person for coming onto BWW and talking to us while working.....
Broadway Legend Joined: 11/20/04
believe me - BWW has done as much (or more) for me than it has for you....
1st - these hours are difficult - you guys help to keep me alert.
2nd - the mental stimulation i get from you guys is AWESOME
3rd - i've learned a great deal of net stuff from you guys and you keep me in touch with the generation that my kids are a part of....
and i must say - you are a great group of insightful and creative young people and i'm glad to take this time with you...
Ugh. I am so slow. JoAnne1, I'm sorry, but I came into this conversation late, and all I can figure is that you were in a PDG show. What show were you in?

That's an excellent way to sum it up, Fredi.
Hopefully we fall into the 'treat you like a person' category. That's what I worry about with Anthony's thread- it's all fan fawning. He's a human too...
