bso - i know the place -- only passed it a bazillion times...
seen things there too....
used to make baklava myself - just not the filo (sp?) *so shoot me , i'm not greek*
bst - do you make your own...? My specialty is pie shells and pastries - but they are SO DARN THIN!!

i do make my own...the jews make baklava too! (well, the israeli ones). and it can be spelled filo or phyllo
and BSO, i am the one who was talking about the CD.

there's a really small turkish restaurant in the city - i love it! they make really good baklavah - well, i think they make it - w/e it is a really good restaurant (very very small) - called Marty kabab i think
Pamir is my favorite restaurant in NYC

MAMOUN'S (sp?) on MacDougal in the village...
best in the city!
and bst - I'll be happy to wait - i've been making and eating baklava for 20 years and have yet to make my own filo - i look forward to the challenge!
