that's why they are called "personal preferences"
no worries...
I've lived a lot longer and in a lot of countries and cities...

I'll trade you places! Come and live in my bland Ohio suburb and I'll take the beaches.
Fredi, nice save there. I saw The Lion King on tour this fall and that sounds like no easy task. I bet the audience was greatful too, those tickets cost way too much for the show to be cut to five minutes.

Oh NTG, we love you lots. It's just the whole 'grass is greener' thing in effect.

ntg - no need to hang head
everyplace you go will have it's pro's and cons...
Barbados is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life and still - hurricanes - electrical and water problems all the time.
lucky me for a husband whose and engineer.... our home is built to accomodate all of that... however - doesn't change a thing.
We're on the Atlantic shore now so it's potential floods, hurricanes, MASSIVE SNOW, etc...
It's just life sweetie - be happy you're still here and able to b*tch...
yeah, and you and me are on the same side of the fence too NTG
BTW, I can't believe no one has said this yet:
Christmas Bells Are Ringing!

yeah - my english professor mom would LOVE that...
That got cut, Star2b, didn't anyone tell you?
Kidding, kidding...too much time in the screenplay thread for my own good today...
It's all good Mrs.Browne

"be happy you're still here and able to b*tch..."
Can I quote you on this?
Question about Barbados- are you a citizen of it now? I'm not really sure how things work when you live in two different countries. It sounds lovely. I went to Puerto Rico this summer and it's really different... *sighs* so pretty...

Yes - I'm a permenant resident of Barbados (the equivalent of having a US greencard - permanent status without citizenship)
we decided it's best for me to keep my US citizenship..and take residency. He's doing the same thing (keeping Bajan citzenship and taking US residency) this way - the kids have the whole world to play in...
My dad's an engineer...our transformer still blew up though. And then our neighbor chased the power crew down the street screaming and throwing things at them...

yeah- well no amount of prep could really keep you totally out of trouble with all that you guys went through this last year...
I'm glad that you and yours are alive and well. Houses can be rebuilt (and smarter for the next time)

The more I hear about Florida, the crazier it sounds. Watch out, NTG.
Fredi, don't worry about a misspelling- at least your state can count ballots, which is more than NTG and star2be can say.
Do you miss your kids if they're off in Barbados while you're in NY? I'm trying to imagine the logistics of that arrangement.
ETA- gotta go for a bit, see you all later.

miss the kids like mad!!!
thank goodness for email - IM, etc...
we talk on the phone every Sunday
it's hard - but in the long run - it will benefit everyone.
Keep your eyes on the Prize
HEY NOW! I won't be 18 for another two years. I can NOT be held responsible for my state's vote. (Just yet another reason why I hate living here, though.)

HEY NOW! WE WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE! WE COULDN'T VOTE!
*pout*
edit: It's really my Grandma's fault. She always just votes for Nadar cuz she doesn't like either party.

funny
i'm sure it has much more to do with your gov and his alliances, eh?
Yeah, and the fact that our oh so esteemed president got to use the hurricanes as part of his campaign. Even nature has it in for us...
I'll have to answer that with something his brother would say:
no comment

all I can say is, remember all this when you DO turn 18
Okay I'll bring back a really old debate...
Which do you think is more stressful--running tech, or acting?
Random question for Freddi-
Where/how did you meet your husband? I mean not many people can say they have family back in Barbados... Just curious

running tech or performing?
stress is relative - you bring it with you (or not)
where did I meet Mr. Browne?
In Barbados - on a vacation... it was truly a "Stella" moment (except we are the same age)
(I wanted the heart one but forgot how to make it...)
hey kids! running in and running out. (LOVE having a life once in a while!)
anyway, just noticed my post makes 998 - everyone shut up for a bit and let Fredi get post 1000, hmmm?
bye! will be back here in a few hours! (natch) I'm going on a DATE! whoooot! (not really)
edit: make that post 999. everyone shhh!
