tried some experiments with the desktop and did some online shopping for a keyboard - they can be REALLY cheap!

there were the usual hallway rumors spreading around that we'd get out early cause the rain was gonna turn the roads all icy... but it didn't happen. a bunch of clubs were cancelled, thats it. long island is so boring weatherwise.

Westchesters not much better, it always cold in winter, sometimes it snows, and the school goes crazy.

i've been through there a few times - i have a good buddy who lives there and another who lives in piermont across the river... that's a really sweet little town...

enjoy those school breaks while you can...

one of the drawbacks of adulthood is - no winter/spring/christmas w/e breaks....

depends on the college is right..

at NYU - we hardly went to school in the fall - between the high holidays - channukah (sp?) and christmas - it was sweet!

We get the High Holy Days off at my school, and Christmas Eve through New Years. I don't care about having Chanukkah off. I want Passover off. We only get off for Passover if its the week before Easter, and we're usually cooking all day before dinner the first day. Updated On: 1/5/05 at 10:43 PM

My school's got a decent sized Jewish population, but we weren't off for the High Holidays... just "excused from classes." Classes still went on, but you were allowed to miss. Blah.

I think it depends on whether you're an Orthodox, Conservative or Reform Jew

I use Chanukah or Chanukkah, depending. The "Ch" is closer to the Hebrew letter "chet"

my parents are being SO UNREASONABLE!

they won't let me rush rent & wicked on sunday. (if i don't win wicked, which i'm sure i won't, then i'm sure i'll win rent for a sunday matinee after the holidays) they won't let me go into nyc by myself, and they won't escort me there, cause neither of them want to see wicked again, and they're being closeminded and they don't want to see rent. no win situation.

Crap, I forgot to reload again. We don't get the high holidays off anymore, Fredi, so it's non-stop school except Thanksgiving. Makes for a lot of stressed students.
