and i'm in Davis, which is a teeny little cowtown. so no theatre at all.

ugh...is it wrong that i'm starting to doubt my desire to go to grad school? if i'm going to be working my ass off and making no money, i'd rather be doing somethnig i truly love.

i normally have a fairly good sense of self... i can look objectively at myself and think good things, or not good things...but today it seens to be more of the latter.

hey guys, just checking in, then i'm going to bed...

i was dragged to this fashion show thingie at my school to raise money for the senior prom and tsumami relief... it was pretty boring, but we did have a fun time laughing at people we knew.

then we were gonna see a movie, cause i ripped the times out of the paper, but none of them were good. so we walked to starbucks (raspberry mocha with extra whipped cream today... YUMMY! and i forgot to get decaffinated... LETS NOT GO THERE.) then we went to her house and watched the perfect score and some other random stuff on tv. much fun.

oh, and updates on the hurting leg... finally got an orthopedist appt. the xray was fine, but he felt this massive lump under my skin right where its swollen, so it's been diagnosed as a "stress reaction", aka overuse. he used the analogy that its like a paperclip that has been bent a number of times and is very weak, but not broken. its just lucky i caught it early, because this is the kind of thing that LEADS to a stress fracture. so i have to lay off it for a week and see what happens.

i'll catch up tomorrow, but from what i saw... yay for fredi working on her website! i'll help when you need it!

short term, yes, i'm sure this will go away, once i stop overusing it. so i have to miss the meet on monday, and possibly the next one. i might be able to practice bars cause you don't use your legs at all, but i can't compete bars, cause i can't dismount and land hard on my legs.

but long term, i dont know. i've had shin splints on and off for the past 2 years, and i never seem to take a break from physical activity, so it doesnt go away. summer = gymnastics/field hockey camps, fall = field hockey, winter = gymnastics, spring = track. i'm getting these molds that are specifically made for my feet made on wednesday. i walk on this thing that measures pressure so they can see where its distributed on my feet, and make a mold from that.

i'm considering not doing track to give myself a break, and also i heard that the new coach is an ass hole. the best sprinter/long jumper on the team was kicked off cause they got in a fight.
