fredi, a concussion is NO excuse - you had fans out there wanting to see ONLY you and wanting to get your autograph afterward. You let them down by leaving that show....
(so, that's how it would be if idina were to read some of these posts)
Yeah, sorry if I am sounding like a hyporcrite, but is Nancy Opel still in fiddler? I thought she left - then i heard about the accident....so is she back now?
I love her -

Fredi, I'm sorry.
And poor Idina. I hope she's ok and that she can at least be in peace while she recovers. That's the bright side- away from nutcase fans.
onelastrefrain - yeah - i loved the question about why people who like wicked seem to be rent fans too
Well, I was 8 when Rent came out, and I like Wicked
Am I beyond hope?

OLR - don't you mean Idina fan's?
thanks, staci - she is one of my favs....and what RANGE she has!
Everyone: listen to Urinetown's It's a Privalege to Pee...
I was 6 when Rent came out... I've loved the OBCR before I even knew what Wicked was. Thats a good defence, right?
I think one of the Harvey reviews mentioned her, I'm not 100% positive though. I think I'm seeing Fiddler in two weeks!

refrain - yes i did and it's not a newbie question...
i've never spoken of it before now.
NTG - the tracks were down when we came in to sing...
i don't know who played what - but i'd assume yes..
yes - shayna was my second cover (behind shellie), my neighbor and friend...
i'm still not sure how i got that part...(still thanks agents whom i love...) it's obvious from all the others (except Gwennie) that they had something completely different in mind..
fans can be so selfish sometimes..
Star2b...you're talking about NYTW, yes? Cuz I was 8...and you're older than me...
Another random interjection before I get kicked off...
My cover for the new fic. The pic is from 25th Hour, the quote is from the Chbosky screenplay.
And with that, I must be off.

n/m OLR - one of her "fans" created a thread called Idina Fan's - so i was joshing...
thanks, staci
I was saying that I hope Idina comes back tomorrow (which I doubt will happen) because I feel bad that she's ending her 3+ year involvement in Wicked with a fall due to a trap door...
P.S. Seeing The Producers and not Wicked tomorrow, so it makes no difference if she's there or not...

At least they're enthusiastic about theater, right? Even if they do tend to stray to the moronic side of the park.

i know really... some of these fans need to get a grip. I've broken a rib before... IT HURTS. It hurts to talk, to breath, to move and everything. I think singing was probably the last thing on my mind. Maybe her injury wasn't as bad as mine, but I really don't think she'll be back tomorrow. With all the belting and especially the harness+the belting in defying gravity, unless it was a minor injury or shes willing to endure major pain to perform at her last show, I don't think she'll be there. If she is there, I hope the fans don't complain if shes a little off or give her a hard time or anything, and if she's not, I hope that maybe they will learn to be a little more accepting of shoshanna and realize that she is an awesome performer as well.

Ellie dearest, I love you but some things aren't overlookable. They are insane.

as for the series of accidents and need for regulations..
this is why is so extremely important for all of you who are - or who plan to go into the biz - be extremely careful about the jobs you take and make certain to fight the non-union tour thing any way you can!!
there's legitimate non-union work (mostly in Europe) and i'm not saying don't work if you can - i am saying don't let producers take advantage of you and destroy the union (the only protection you've got) by putting out tours of the big shows and treating the actors like d**k!
all the other departments (stagehand, wardrobe, etc...)on those tours ARE UNION WORKERS!!! with FULL PROTECTION AND BENEFITS!!!
Why should actors be the only ones left out in the cold!!!
Imagine if Idina was in a non-union show and this accident happened.....
who would protect her rights? who would be held responsible?
what if she was seriously hurt? how would she ever work again?
YOUR BODY IS YOUR ONLY INSTRUMENT AND IT IS IRREPLACABLE - PROTECT IT AT ALL COSTS!!! Even if it means turning down a role and keeping your day-job -
in the long run - it's better for everyone....

Yes Nia, actually I suppose they are a bit too selfish and inane, so strike my last comment from the record. We don't want their sort!
Wow NTG I like it..

good advice Fredi!
They are not theatre fans, they are Idina/Elphaba fans..........I don't know what attracts them to the role of Elphaba (shosh, Idina, eden, etc)....
but I think Priest's signature sums it up the best....
ntg, that's gorgeous.
you have skills, girl!
"fans can be so selfish sometimes.."
That is one of my biggest pet-peeves. Selfish fans.
Its the same thing w/the Michael Crawford for the POTO movie gang... MC himself has said he's moved on and will never reprise the role of Phantom on stage or on screen, but once herad a phan say that AWL should just have MC take over as Phantom in the Broadway production until he dies. *rolls eyes* I hate it when someone is supposedly a fan of someone, but they care more about themselves being entertained by that someone then that someone themself... *rambles incoherently because she's mad and still on cold medicine*

ntg - your graphics are amazing!!!
a serious talent you have there...
can't wait to have you do some stuff for me
"Plus, if [you're] a bigger fan, then why didn't you capitalize her name? I guess she isn't that important to you then"~ 'Idina's BIGGEST Fan' in a response to 'idinafan'

Good evening kiddos. How is everyone doing tonight?
Fredi--GREAT advice. I think people look at the fame and recognition before the risks. Some people will do anything to see their dreams fulfilled, even if that means seriously hurting themselves.
