Laughing at people who fall 3 feet and get sent to the hospital? That's scheudenfreude right there.

i wonder if they'll somehow have her final performance be another night....?

Posted: 1/8/05 at 11:55pmActually, on my dad's side, there's actually a family joke of "2nd times the charm" because almost all of the men have been married twice (my dad included)

back to names- my first and last name are boring and easily pronounced. Be glad if you have a not-so-generic name...
Oh and while we're talking about weird names, I know someone whose initials used to be ASS, but their parents caught it and changed the middle name...
#12386Feel Better Idina...
Posted: 1/8/05 at 11:56pmMy parents are separated. I doesn't seem like they really talked about their problems...

When I was in 7th grade, we had to stand up and introduce ourselves and tell one thing that is special about us. Almost everyone went, when it got to this girl. She stood up and said (And I am not lying)
"Hi. My name is Patricia Michelle Smith. The thing that is special about me, is that my initials spell 'P.M.S'"
And yes, she got made fun of from that day forth. It was SO funny.

Posted: 1/8/05 at 11:58pmOh, definately BEKA. An injured anything from the waist up could make performing very painful. I have a feeling she won't be performing tomorrow...

One of my cousins has the initials GAG...
My last name is sooo generic- there's another girl in my music class with the same last name, and about five or six other people in the school. (And no, my last name is not Smith)

hahhaaaa refrain - makes me laugh too - but GOOD FOR HER!!
i'm fortunate because long and (mostly) successful marriages are the norm in my family so i guess that's the standard i grew up with...
i don't really advocate people staying in bad relationships - i'm more like "take your time getting into them in the first place..."
i am a "career girl" so it was long time before i even THOUGHT about marriage - and when i finally decided to go for it - there was really no turning back...
i'm also a fan of the "double-name" but i'm also a fan of keeping a detailed family tree - reunions and the whole nine...
knowing where you came from truly strengthens who you are.. in alot of ways - even if it's NOT TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES as your folks... i mean, seriously - is there a more valuable lesson than that?
think of all the "currency" you save....

BEKA -
her final peroformance is when her contract runs up -
I am dropping my last name because I can't stand having my middle name AS a middle name

My initials are ARG. And, when I was younger, my mom plastered them all over my school stuff, and when kids would find them, they'd be like, 'WHY DOES IT SAY 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG?'" In hindsight, its funny... it wasn't at the time though. :P
My theater teacher is pregnant, and her husband wanted to name the kid Wallace if it was a boy. That one got vetoed pretty quickly...

now it says that it's "not likely" she'll be performing tomorrow on the main page.
i feel so bad! this is gonna put a damper on her whole experience with the show. and why NOW? the DAY BEFORE the show that everyone has been anticipating for MONTHS?
it's beyond me why this sh*t happens...
going to bed... hopefully there will be an update in the morning.
good night!
