Threadjacking occurs when someone posts something completely unrelated to the thread topic and a conversation about the new subject ensues, as far as I can define it.

nia - i wouldn't worry

1- adam is a pretty balanced guy... i'm sure he'd be amused..

2 - in the long run, these threads are so not a major thing - certainly not for him...

3- being a celebrity means you have to be prepared for people to be talking about you....

it's more than okay.

That's threadjacking. It's really non-existent here, which is good. There are examples of former threadjacking on the main board, but we really don't need to go into that one.

Yeah, Refrain, you're on the right track. I was telling someone somewhere that you seem cooler than some of the other Renthead-one-track-minded newbies around the boards.

BTW, example threadjack:

I accidentally sprayed a 7ft puddle onto two guys in trench coats when I drove today. They were completely soaked and will likely have icicle hair since it was 0celcius today. Funny or not?

Fredi, maybe, but that doesn't mean I should have done that. I hate fans who are obsessive, but it seems that I'm guilty... and it would certainly discourage him from joining this thread or Anthony's and adding his perspective, which would be too bad.

It's just kinda rude I guess. And it doesn't reflect to well on me either. Meh.

i was thinking of transferring to NYU (would really like to go to Columbia...although, being a transfer student may be easier, as I did EXTREMELY well this semester)

Refrain, threadjacking is fine. And Anthony is nice enough to post about once a day and tell us a little about the movie's filming. It's nifty to get that little peek at the process.

Well, Anthony seems like a really nice, smart, insightful guy. Problem is from the get go, he was BARRAGED with a near-riot of Rentheads who threw rapid-fire questions non-stop. He said at one point early on that he just wanted a good conversation (I guess similar to here) but since more and more newbies kept coming and only talking to HIM and addressing HIM, that never happened. Now poor guy only comes online to give updates and hasn't really built a rapport with anyone. It's not his fault - it's partially self-preservation. But I like it here more. Once the regulars here got over the "HOLY F*CKING SH*T IT'S FREDI" aspect (Remember, Emcee? ), she's just a cool mama hen.

Not to mention the way people bombard him with far more information about themselves than anyone, least of all him, cares to know. They gush and really give the whole board a bad image. I posted something about it... finally got fed up today.
