I cannot believe I missed the rest of this.
Yes, b_s_t, I agree with everything you said. I've got a lot of pet peeves (I suppose I'm just extremely irritable). The types of people I hate the most are hypocrites, religious zealots, racists and egotists. But I also get extremely irked at what you said: "or just being treated as insignificant...like i'm not as good/worthy of attention as someone else, just because i may not have accomplished some of the same things."
I said it on the Anthony thread a long time ago - celebrities eat and SH*T like everyone else, and we've all got our own strengths.
Oh, and can I just say I'm disturbed at the amount of knowledge thatCam has on types of fabrics for whips??

Hello, loves. Just got back from Fiddler...Nathan was there too. But I'm going food shopping in a bit.
Is it just me or is the site really slow tonight?

Posted: 1/9/05 at 7:52pmthe mass amounts of Wicked fans probably checking the boards etc. for news on Idina's last show (or last couple minutes appearance in her last show) could be one cause of the slow site...I am guessing...

Ditto on the thread title. Hope she feels better. That must've been scary.

Did you do a matinee today?
Also, for anyone in the know, if I'm staying in London and I want to be in the heart of the city close to the tourist attractions, restaurants, etc., what area do I want to be in? (I'll be seeing a few shows too, of course, but if that's out of the way of everything else, I can cab it. I'd rather just be in equal walking distance of everything, etc.) Also, how reliable is the metro system?

Lane, Shubert?
Tiff, I suppose anywhere near Picadilly Circus, or Trafalgar Square...when I went yonks ago, we stayed in Kensington, it was a bit out of the way, but close to a Tube station, so 'twas fine. They're fairly reliable from what I recall, every three minutes or so.

Has Nathan started rehearsals for the movie yet?
And speaking of movies, anyone know a confirmation about RENT being moved to NYC instead of SF?
Ellie, oh, okay, so not Kensington then? That's where the theatres are, right? How much does the tube cost? What area of London is Trafalgar in? Is that where the Palace, Westminster Abbey, etc. are?
I can't BELIEVE how expensive these hotels in London and Paris are! I thought NYC was a lot - these places are asking $300/night for a 2-star hotel!!

Posted: 1/9/05 at 10:06pmI can't really remember too well, I was about 12, but Kensington was fine (Jury's Hotel, I just asked my sis), really the Tube is great. Trafalgar Sq/Leicester Sq/Picadilly Circus are right beside each other - kind of the flashy Times Square of London - and all of the theatres are nearby. Plus it's very close to Regent Street/Oxford Street, the main shopping places...can't be bad. Any Londoner's on this board you could PM? Why not try posting on the West End Board?
