The Return of Trading Spaces

Is anyone else watching? I love seeing some of the old gang back, especially Paige, Frank, Genevieve and Vern. It's great that they doubled the budget and I love the addition of the couples getting to pick an object from the selection provided by Overstock.com that the designer will have to incorporate. The guest designers are a really fun addition as well. But where they really sold me was the new female carpenter...Joanie, runner-up for Cycle 6 of America's Next Top Model! I LOVE HER!

Still a great show!

I've been really enjoying its return! For the most part, I appreciate that the focus has been on design, and not on being outrageous. Hildi is the obvious exception to that, but she's been that way since the first incarnation of the show, so I expected that. I love seeing the old gang all together again, and I appreciate the distinct styles of each designer. If I were to hire one of them to come into my own home and design, I would probably say Laurie or Vern is most in line with my own personal style, but I appreciate all of their work, with the exception of Hildi.

Page remains the glue that holds the whole thing together and she really makes it all work. It's definitely been a welcome return for this old favorite of mine!
