These two long-awaited movies are opening within the next couple of weeks. Both are sure to be megahits, but which one are you interested in seeing? Neither? Both?
I'll definitely check out "Sin City" to see Elijah Wood. Although, I don't know much about it. What about it makes you sure it will be a megahit?
1) It is a major comic book franchise.
2) It features at least 15 major stars, each with their own legion of fans (Del Toro, Willis, Hartnett, Rourke, Owen, Wood, etc.).
3) Director Robert Roderiguez has already developed a huge following.
4) The trailer is more than enough to hook even those who have never read the comics.

Yup! I can't WAIT for the movie!
I had forgotten about this movie until I saw the trailer last night, then I sort of wet myself with excitement. Frank Miller is a god! And I love the style they've shot it in, very noir, very comic book...
Judging from the trailer, I am in love with the style. First, it's black and white, then it's color. It's animated, then it's live action. It's like filmmaker paradise.
SIN CITY! Wanna see it. 3 Reasons:
1. I'm a sucker for visually stunning movies
2. Elijah Wood (as a mute canibal no doubt)
3. Clive (should've won the Oscar) Owen
Sin City! I just saw the trailer last night too and it looks fantastic! Just wondering though, at the end of the trailer I think it said "Special guest director Quentin Tarentino". Does that mean he directed a scene or two? Has he done that before?
I practically touch myself at the thought of seeing 'Sin City.'
Miller. Rodriguez. A shot for shot adaptation of one of my favorite comic series of all-time.
And Jessica Alba as 'Little' Nancy Callahan.

Have you heard the song that's featured in the trailer? It's called 'Cells', by The Servant and it's SO good. I've been listening to it over and over again.
I hate to admit this - but I've not seen a single commercial or trailor for Sin City...but I AM looking forward to Ring Two - the first one still has me confused as hell - but it sure is scary. I want to get the new DVD release with the extras that explain the story so I can catch up on the first one again before seeing the next....
Frank Miller is a god. Those stupid movie execs should have done his Dark Knight Returns instead of attempting to do a Year One introduction of Batman so soon after Burton's.

redhot, you should check out the movie's site. It's awesome. And watch the trailer!!

Jessica Alba is so gorgeous, and can work that pole like nobody's business.
Hedwig-
It is true that Tarantino did direct one scene from the movie, though I am not sure which one. As for guest directing, he also directed one of the segments of "Four Rooms".
redhot-
Go to movies.yahoo.com and look up the trailer. You will be blown away.
Allie - thanks for posting that link - it really does look awesome. I can't believe I haven't seen a commercial for it at all - guess I missed the trailors because I haven't been to the movies in a couple months - been renting a lot at home.
broadway86: That's right! I did see the segment he directed in "Four Rooms". I don't recall having a guest director in a more traditional movie though. But I guess from the looks of it, this movie is not very traditional! Looks awesome.
Tarantino directed a scene in a car, the context of which is irritatingly escaping me right now.
i'm a dork and looking forward to seeing the ring two!..lol i enjoy noami watts alot...i want to see sin city too tho.
I'll be seeing "Sin City" and skipping "The Ring 2."
Elijah Wood plays a cannibal, you say? There are so many dirty jokes I could crack right now...let's just say he's one cannibal I woudldn't mind getting to know...
I'm just hoping that "The Ring Two" gets decent reviews. I've been waiting over two years for it, and I would hate to avoid it.
And if "Sin City" turns out to be anything less than a modern masterpiece, I will be disappointed.
