Usually when we refer to someone as mulatto it's usually someone who has a "coffee colored" complexion, not necessarily someone who has one black or one white parent. But the "technical" definition or the "proper" definition is the one RobbO posted.

For research. please watch "Once On This Island"!
I thought The Rock was Samoan/White.
Rock's Samoan/Black.
His father is former wrestler Rocky Johnson who is Black; his mother is the daughter of Samoan wrestler Peter Maivia.
Rocky Johnson + Peter Maivia = Rocky Maivia, which is where Rock's handle came from in the first place.
i hated once on this island. my ex's ex did local plays all the time and dragged us to these god-awful productions that he was so proud of and choreographed/acted in. my god, i've been to better plays in elementary schools!
I love the BWW Off-Topic board...this has to be the only place on the internet where a discussion of The Rock's sexuality would lead to a critique of a community theater production of "Once on This Island."
Yeah it's kind of a special place that way, isn't it?
sorry, my bad, i think i had ADD for lunch.
The Rock has actually been in several Gay Porn films under the name El Presitente.
No self respecting gay man would be "The Rock".
Besides - Yuck!!!!!!
Though I have an easier time believing he's gay than believing he's an actor.
