I love staying in hotels..but I could see why you wouldn't want to do that.
ooh, that sounds really awkward, BG. :-/

I have to call my parents about something really serious I need their help with and I'm making myself sick with worry.
I hope that it works out, skittles.

This isn't really banal, but...
There's a major economic crisis going on in Puerto Rico right now. Nearly 100,000 government employess (including teachers) will be without salary for 2 months, because the government has no funds with which to pay for their salaries. Close friends of mine are affected by this; they simply can't afford 2 months without salary, and the prospect of looking for alernative, temporary emplyment is bleak, at best.
There are possible solutions to the crisis, but the bickering in the Lesgislature has gotten nowhere. They haven't reached an agreement, and it looks to stay that way for awhile.
So, yeah...I'm upset about this, and I wish I were back home so I could join the protests, and offer comforting words to my friends affected by this crisis.
And no one in the US media gives a **** about this crisis, so none of my American friends were even aware that this was going on.
Owwww, my ears.
The AP French exam was like...death.
AP Stats tomorrow. *whimper*
I'm going to kill myself during my IB French test.

I had Chinese food. Aren't you all surprised?

Ugh, the AP Eng & Lit today was the end of my life. Actually, I think I did decent on the essay (hopefully they can salvage my terrible multiple choice so I can get a 3, that's all I'm hoping for).
I've still got three more joyful AP test to look forward as well. This is going to suck.
The band-aids I put over the blisters on my feet weren't sticking, so I had to put scotch tape on top of them. This is why I don't wear fancy shoes.
*hugs skittles* I hope it goes well.
I read your LJ entry about that, Chica -- that's so awful. And it also made me angry that the American media isn't covering it, since your entry was the first thing that I'd really read about it. Is there any sort of.... private initiative to help?
Good luck, skittles. I know that feeling well...
Chica, it's finally starting to get some TV news coverage.
Yeah, I've seen some coverage, but it's just...so basic, and doesn't really cover any of the specifics of what's really going on.
Yeah; they spent more time talking about a high school student who thinks she's a vampire and goes around biting other students, which is bad, but... er....
Lexi talked about her prom in this thread, so I might as well talk about mine.
It was fun. I had much more fun than I was expecting to. The music was insanely loud, which was annoying, but I actually danced, which was a first. I did realize, however, that all prom is is a really expensive school dance. I don't think I had quite gotten that before. I mean, we could have had just as much fun, and it would have been just as nice, in our school gym for free, rather than in a hotel for 50 bucks. But oh well, what can you do?

I'm glad you had a better time than I did, Elphie. Nice to hear that you could acutally dance without getting groped.
I'm glad you enjoyed your prom, Elphie.
aw, glad to hear that.
I stayed far, far away from the groping, Lexi, believe me.
And considering the only reason I wanted to go to prom was so I could wear a pretty dress, it turned out all right. I had very low expectations, though.
The food was good!
