Obama skips Sochi, sends Billie Jean King instead.
Perfect

Posted: 12/19/13 at 8:19amCaitlin Cahow was interviewed on the Today Show this morning, and I thought she was brilliant. Her words were firm and struck the right tone.

Posted: 12/19/13 at 8:36amAgreed. It made me mad when Lauer asked her if the only reason she got picked is because she's gay. But she handled the interview well. She would be a great addition to the US delegation no matter the circumstance.

Boitano is going.
So he decided to come out.
If ever there was a perfect moment to announce you're gay, this is it.

I've been watching the Olympic Trials this afternoon.
Despite all of the politics, and all of the (serious) issues behind holding the Games in Russia, you can't deny that watching an athlete see their dream come true, when they make the Olympic team, is something special...
I will be in Sochi (work), and I've had my misgivings. But, the athletes remind me why it's an event unlike any other.

I hope you and you colleagues and all the athletes are safe.
But I wouldn't mind if Brian or Billie Jean did something to piss off Putin.
