Oh man. Tonight was awesome. Amy and Seth were cracking each other up.
That was probably the best episode I've seen in a while.

Rosie Perez as the new voice of Dora was Amy's crowning achievement on the news. I immediately rewound and watched again and laughed even harder the second time.
"I'm through with exploring, I wanna kookie."

Posted: 9/21/08 at 1:02amIt was Cameron. This was her second time in the cougar's den. This episode was one of the best in a while.

Cameron Diaz usually annoys the hell out of me, however when she's on SNL I love watching her.
She does a good Latina cougar. How cute was Franco in the skinny jeans and emo wig?

I must be getting old, this episode was not funny. It's as if they have a beginning of an idea for something funny, but it's not enough to make a whole skit, so they just pad it with unfunny filler.
During Weekend Update, the section where the guy was being sued for sexual harassment went on way too long. The pacing of that section was too slow.
The OJ Simpson trial was just a time waster. It looked under-rehearsed.
The only thing I thought was mildly funny was the Yankee Stadium Stories.
And it looked like James Franco was always positioned so he could make best use of the cue cards.

I also love how Cameron Diaz fully embodies her Cougar character. Also thought Kristin Wiig looked GREAT in her James Bond girl like outfit. My daughter said she was amazed at the wigs they use for all the characters. She said they all look so real- so props to the wig master!

That's pretty true with all the hosts. And they have more than one cue card holder, so to make it easier. At least that's the way it was when I was on the show.

yeah, MOM, i have to agree. i think the designers (is it still Eugene and Franny
As to rewrites, there have been articles recently about how they are trying to make it more topical, and thus adding very last minute trends and things, particularly given the election.
But i think the show is definitely back on an upswing....and i'm really glad. It's a part of my heritage. i'm old enough to have been watching it for decades!

Posted: 9/22/08 at 1:26pmthanks, SNAFU, i'm aware of what Eugene Lee's career is about. That is why i used "designers" and not "costume designers" or "costumers"....because the scenery is often quite good at the same rushed rate.
