All of my first memories revolve around The Muppets and The Muppets have heavily shaped my world view.
Through The Muppets I was taught the power of togetherness. Though all of the characters where almost polar opposite and though they fought, nothing could take away their love and respect for one another. How much could a world divided by religion, political parties, race, sexual orientation, and labels learn from that? They taught me that it’s okay to be frustrated sometimes, but it is never okay to hate. They represent kind of an utopian society to me.
The Muppets lost so much of their magic when Jim Henson passed away in 1990. Jason Segal seems to be trying to bring their magic back.
It seems as though I have no waited all these years in vain.
