Everyone is crowing about historic it is that the mormons now agree to NOT discriminate against gays in basic protections.

How generous of them!

This makes me feel condescended to. Maybe I'm just becoming increasingly embittered but quite frankly, granting "commonsense rights" isn't much of anything.

It highlights their bigotry that it's SUCH a major step forward for them to simply acknowledge the obvious.

Really, I hate them.

But what about all the heteros they don't discriminate against who actually DO violence to the "institution of marriage" as described by the Mormon church? Oh yeah, they still get the rights we don't.

I am so sick of these Mormons and their anti-gay bigotry. I wish we'd all stop sleeping with them. That would show 'em.
