Okay, another little rant, because I feel like sharing. My CSI-obsessed friend and I met real CSI's the other day! It was so awesome. One of them was a young woman who looked like a younger, prettier (she was really beautiful) Mariska from Law and Order: SVU. She talked to us for over an hour, and was so smart, kind, and interesting. It was so awesome to meet the real deal and hear what the job is really like apart from the television shows. So. Completely. Cool.
Can I make you more jealous? As a criminology major and field practice student, I've gotta study and work with these people on a daily basis, and my forensics professor was featured in Newsweek a couple of years ago as a pioneer of forensic entomology (think Gil Grissom and bugs). And I got to watch a fun video of a full autopsy last week. It was actually pretty cool, but when they scalp the guy, it was sort of gross. First they saw the bone from ear-->behind the head-->ear, then they pull his hair off. (No easy feat because the blood's already been drained so the hair is stuck to the scalp.) Gross part was that the rigor mortis had already worn off so his head was flopping back and forth as they yanked his hair off.
So, um, yeah. I swear I'm not a sadist. It's a genuine interest.
But since this is a rant page, here's what's pissing me off.
I'm about to fail my law school aptitude test this week and it's because I procrastinate too much (esp. on this board!). And even if I do get into law school, I don't really want to go because my heart lies in theatre and film. So I'm basically beginning the process of a loveless marriage by taking this law school exam when really I'd rather be participating in the theatre industry, or continuing to do production work in the film industry. And it's too late for me to get out of it, because I've always thought I've wanted to go into law since I was 6, and I don't know anything else.

"It's not always about you!!!" (But if you think I'm referring to you anyway, then I probably am.)
