Theater World Award Winner Mary Birdsong to Shoot Film in PA- Seeking Investors

Broadway's Mary Birdsong, who won a Theater World Award for the musical Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, and appeared as Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray, and as Mona Ramsey in A.C.T.'s Tales of the City, will be shooting a 20 minute comedy short in Oxford, PA this December based on her "Funny Or Die" video "The Spirit Seeker."

The 20 minute short will follow Mary as Samantha Bell: Paranormal Expert and Licensed Real Estate Broker, as she and her investigative team (her teenage son and a stoner cameraman) as they travel to Amish Country Pennsylvania to hunt ghosts disturbing a tranquil bed and breakfast. The 20 minute comedy short will be entered into festivals across the country.

Birdsong and her production company (Throws Like A Girl Inc.) are looking for junior investors to help reach the projected budget goal. Anyone interested in supporting the project or getting more details should click below to visit the kickstarter page, where they can donate and win prizes.

Good God, my brother lives in Oxford, Pennsyl-tucky, and I was born and raised less than 10 miles away in the next school district over. I will be there in two days for Thanksgiving.
