They Said It Could Not Be Done

We just returned from voting. Surprisingly, the crowds were non existant.

I have done my civic duty but it was a paper ballot as it has been sometime since I last voted.

Oh for Christ sake, this reminds me of Chris Rock's routine about would-be deadbeat dads proudly bragging, "I pay for half my kid's food!" and Rock saying "You don't get extra credit for doing the right thing. You don't get a COOKIE."

Fricking Roxy is just a bellyaching whiner who has no actual grasp on the economy and zero empathy for any experience other than his own. He has spoken for years about not being a voter, he defends W, reads and watches Rupert Murdoch-owned media outlets for the sound bites he paraphrases badly and now people are praising him for VOTING? He's a loudmouthed American cliche and he wants a cookie for finally doing the right thing.

I voted at 7:30 this morning and there was no one in front of me when I got there.

Although I did not vote for him, I wish him luck. I hope he moderates his views somewhat. The pundits on Channel 2 were saying there are many conservative democrats along with Republicans & if he tries to go to far to the left, he will have a fight on his hands.

Re a super majority - be careful what you wish for as you may get it. Something also tells me we have not heard the last of Palin. She is not as stupid as she looks & sounds. This was all a learning experience for her.
