I've never been able to post images in thread posts, so I can't add my Kay Francis pics...my avatar will have to suffice.
All this Gloria talk reminds me of another thread long ago where I talked about her biography, Swanson on Swanson. Remember Glebb?
The backyard naked treatment? The "holistic healing" she endured after the birth of her daughter?

Posted: 8/26/06 at 2:38amThanks much! One of my favorite "faces" from back then. Now, can you find Eleanor Boardman for me, or PM me with how you managed to post the image?

I always loved Vargas' homage to those glory days for Bernadette's album covers (not to mention loving the recordings themselves.)

Don’t know if it’s ever been available on Region 1 DVD before (I’ve only ever seen the VHS), but Criterion is releasing a two-disc edition of Pandora’s Box in November.
Some nice extras (a 1971 interview with Louise Brooks, a wonderful Brooks documentary that aired on TCM several years ago, the Tynan essay...).

I saw this collection being spotlighted on TCM a week or two ago and I am intrigued enough to check out the contents...not too pricey, thank god. I'd seen Pandora's box years ago on a VHS, and look forward to seeing it in it's restored version.
It's a very interesting film.
