no but I have been hospitalized for severe dehydration and i know that it hurts your stomach.

Dehydration and starvation are the natural ways our body dies.

I used to feel the same way as you, Abba... but since this whole fiasco, and reading about it, I've changed my mind.

what part did you feel the same way about, DD?
I'm not saying I think it was right or wrong with what happened, I just think it should have been handled differently. I don't know what happened between the husband and the family before this. I'm actually very torn on the whole issue. I know someone who relies on a feeding tube, and to think that people would consiter that not living makes me sad, but on the other hand, my friend isn't brain-dead either, she's actually very smart.

I still think it should have been handled differently, and not for the whole world to see.

No one is taking the argument that anyone fed through a tube should have it removed. The entire issue is brain activity and quality of life, neither of which Terri Shiavo had.
