Just a reminder

Posted: 3/5/09 at 9:22amYour least favorite? They're stealing an hour of my birthday! I refuse to change over to daylight savings- I'll be like that county in Indiana.

Posted: 3/5/09 at 9:25amI know it's unusual, but I actually prefer this to when we gain an hour. I don't sleep much, five hours most nights and six hours on a good night. So, I'll feel a little better this Sunday when I wake up at 6:30 rather than the usual 5:30 or so. I'm bummed in fall when we gain an hour, but I wake up at 4:30ish.

Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Fact of the Day:
The state of Arizona does not follow Daylight Saving Time, with the exception of the Navajo Reservation, which does -- except for the Hopi Partitioned Land which lies inside the Navajo Reservation, which doesn't.

Posted: 3/5/09 at 11:34amI love this day. It means that lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone, the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land once more.

PalJoey, you're way more optimistic about the seasons than I am. As far as I'm concerned, it can snow through April Fool's Day in the tri-state area.
Also, do turtles really have voices? :P

The Monday after Daylight Savings Time ends is the most depressing day of the year to me.
The Monday after Daylight Savings Time begins is the happiest.
BTW, I believe that part of Indiana doesn't follow Daylight savings Time, nor does Hawaii.

Do you know you are quoting the John Van Druten play "The Voice of the Turtle"?

Posted: 3/5/09 at 3:53pmIMO it's worth losing an hour to have it stay light longer. I'm a late night person and I love those days where there is still light in the sky at 10:00 PM
