Namo - you have a sad sad life, don't you?

You can't engage in one debate with me without making it a personal attack. Only ignorant people degrade their arguments down to name-calling; it just means that you have nothing intelligent to say. Have a good day Namo.

Yeah, Plum...some Christian theologians would say that the Jews get a chance to convert, while others would say they are all Chosen.

I'm the kid of a preacher who believes the latter.

Yes, Namo has had issues in the past with engaging people in kind ways. Perhaps Namo will come to the conclusion that the way s/he currently engages folks on the board is not working. Until that day, enjoy the ignore feature.

I've noticed that to.

Bush is on the news right now blowing smoke up Biloxis ass saying we have plenty of money. What a piece of work that man is.

We have an unlimited supply of money. Just don't look at the debt behind the curtain.

Did anyone else see him shamelessly posing for press with the two adolescent hurricane victims? I bet the refugees starving in front of New Orleans' convention centre wouldn't be so chummy.

Because Greg, there is no "debate." People are DYING and I am ready to vomit when I read one more person repeating the government spin. There is no debate. There is no "other side" to this story. There is only the story.

As for the gov't B.S., it's over. It's clear now for all who couldn't see it before, to see it. And I am through listening to people like you repeating the spin. I'm just sick of it, and your sudden appearance on this site and your back story and your closetedness are all just too much to take on top of everything else.

I've been on this site for over two years and a fairly regular poster. People know I am not one to stand on ceremony, but most importantly that I do not suffer fools gladly. Which is where you come in.

On that note, I would like to get back to the points of discussions in this thread that are not about official government spin. Folks might be interested in the work of the ever-reliable James Ridgeway who has some links to informative online blogs that are keeping people apprised of the situation in the ravaged areas.

Ok so here is my 2 cents on the situation. I as most of you know am am a Bush supporter when it comes to the war and stuff, with my family all being in the military and all. That is not what is being discussed, but it is relivant to my next statements.

Namo is right, this is BS. We can get food and aid to people in Iraq who are at times harboring terrorists or other people who want to attack our troops, but we can't drop supplies on to people in our own country's rooftops? I am so thankful that my husband is no longer in the Army for two reasons now. He used to be stationed near New Orleans and the way that the government (local and federal) have let things go people are desperate and willing to do anything to get the hell out and get some food and water. It is not a safe situation for authorities to go into, but it needs to be done.They can drop fliers in Iraq and Afganistan saying that help is on the way, how to avoid being attacked and that they should help our government by turning in terrorists, but they can't drop some fliers saying to get help do "this"? There has been no organization what so ever on how to help people and it is sickening. I am thinking about opening my spare bedroom to some people, but I don't know if I can afford to take on more mouths to feed, because I know that they don't have the money to pay rent or buy food right now. It is a horrible situation and someone needs to get their crap together and do something. It has taken alot to shake my faith in Bush, but this has done it. WTF is going on?!?

KelRel, if you weren't already married and I weren't an out-of-the-closet homosexual and we didn't have such a big age difference and we lived near each other, I would so beg you to marry me. We could be the new Mary Matalin and James Carville. Only much, much more physically attractive. Or if I were a woman I would so ask you to go lesbian so we could be together.

Thank you for showing that we don't give away our ability to think critically if we actually are sentient beings.

While I have my own opinions about political matter those are not generally based on complete factual knowledge instead more on my intuitive knowledge based on some facts, therefore I almost always stay out of political discussions because I know I can not debate to win;

and,

While, in my opinion, Namo and I oftentimes are in disagreement on a political point;

I have never known him to take frivilous positions on important topics, nor to post arguments on important topics that are not supported by a solid foundation of facts.

When he is indignant, I believe it is always for a solid reason that he strongly believes.

Therefore, what often might appear to be name-calling is actually the calling out a debator to support his/her arguments.

Sometimes, though, he can resort to name-calling, well, just because.

Jose', I'd like to thank you for posting that.

So folks, we now have the offical ruling:

I's acceptable for Namo to name-call.

I'll be certain to remember this in the future.

So, since I'm new here I just want to make sure I understand the rules:

1) It is acceptable for a person who is opening "out" as being homosexual on this board to call someone "faggot" even if he/she has no knowledge of the other persons sexual orientation.

2) If a person who has made no indication as to their sexual orientation were to call someone "faggot" then the board will automatically assume that person is a hetero-sexual and using "bad language" and will be flamed/punished/banned accordingly.

3) If a person is known on this board to be hetero-sexual, and they were to call someone "faggot" then that person would deserve to be impaled and left to die. Because after all, here on BroadwayWorld.com everyone has a RIGHT to their opinion, as long as thier opinion is to the LEFT.
