So here's my question....this happens to alot of people i know, but when I wake up, in the morning (or afternoon....) I find my voice is all cracky and mucous-y (ugh that's disgusting) any advice?
I try halls and the like, but it dosn't really help much....

It kind of sounds like acid reflux...... Because at night when you are sleeping is when all that nasty stuff collects and comes together. You should go to the doctor and see if you can get some medicine for it. If not, check your local pharmacy/drugstore for something.

I've heard that halls are bad for your voice... don't quote me on that, though.

I've found that green tea can cure any voice thing... as far as I'm concerned.

Green Tea is LOADED with caffiene, however. Maybe certain people just have that problem in the morning? I suffer from the same problem. I just can't sing in the morning unless I warm up. I'm usually good to go by the afternoon though.

I've started to think that it might be the air conditioning vent that blows directly upon my head throughout the night.

Usually that means you've got some dried out mucous. Drink a LOT of water, and take theatrediva's advice, as it might be due to acid reflux. Reflux esophigitis is different from heartburn...so you may not know you have it, and it usually forms that mucous that gets in the way of your voice, and you may feel a slight burn in your throat.

Not if the green tea is decaffienated, Goo.
