i emailed fredi, and she sent this back... idk if you saw this, or someone posted it, or whatnot, but i'm posting it again.



hey there!

i've been missing you guys too!

it's been really hectic --

the tech on BOA was quite a mess...

great set design - and we blocked the whole show from the model - but when
we got to the theatre NON OF IT WORKED!

the concept was designed around these rolling platforms that became
different places, etc...

well they roll - but wouldn't STOP rolling! No way we could walk or dance
on them - we could barely use them as the "choir stand" they just wouldn't
keep still!!

we ended up having to re-block most of the show...

the costumes look great though and once we made it through tech (light cues
weren't pre-written- costumes weren't pre-set... no decent food - not even
coffee!!!)

we were fine... the show was good in the studio with nothing - so with
lights and costumes - we're doing pretty well..

did you guys see the blurb in the Times last week?

anyway...the car

piece o' crap! In the shop again (transmission) and basically i've found
out all kinds of fun stuff like....
the car was NOT SERVICED AT ALL before they gave it to me...not even engine
coolant..

the car WAS IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT that was not on the CARFAX report and it
still has issues behind that.

Hyundai's, apparently, MUST HAVE THE TIMER BELT CHANGED AT 60k MILES OR IT
WILL SNAP AND YOUR ENTIRE ENGINE WILL MASH UP... fun when driving home at
3am huh? didn't happen to me *yet* but they sold me the car at 59,073 miles
and didn't bother to mention that little detail....

the list goes on... i'm TOTALLY OVER IT and am now looking into the lemon
laws and carfax's buyback guarantee - etc... i'm getting rid of this car
though - you can believe that!

was sick for awhile too - too much running around and no rest or proper
food. Bad for the body and that BLIZZARD didn't help? Hello... what was
that? We STILL have more than a foot of snow on the streets and in our
yard.... ah well, made great video for the kids (who have never seen snow)

and finally - the computers here at NBA are undergoing replacement (or so we
are told) but the system has been regularly overloading during the live
broadcast - so no one but on-air talent and producers are allowed online
during the broadcasts...

this means i can jump on and off - but cannot stay on continously like
before...

but i'm happy to answer emails (which i can do off-line) and do feel free to
post the responses so everyone can play!

yeah, really. i thought carfax was reliable. my family has done OUR OWN CARS and its been totally accurate.

and fredi got sick JUST like the rest of us. my cold seems to be past the worst, luckily.

oh, did i mention i have no work tonight, either? while all my friends are working on a 7-10 page ap euro paper due friday? i've been LAUGHING at them. they say i'm lucky i got out. teehee.
