Eh, sometimes it's both, hun. I mean, the beauty of an online board is that you don't get judged by how you look, and only by the merit of your contribution. You already have to deal with that on-the-surface, superficial crap in your every day lives. Although I don't think the BWW Hottest Women board was meant in anything other than fun, the point is that there's a more "personal" aspect that further divides people. And judging from some of the posts on there, I'm not the only one left with my feelings hurt. And I knew it was a mistake to put myself in my avatar that time because of this exact same reason - I don't WANT people to know what I look like (well, I suppose you do, Cam - know what I look like, I mean), because then there's not much separating your every day life from your online life. If you can't sit behind a computer screen without being judged for your looks, were CAN you go?
And Ellie, you lost me at "as me as a contributor".
"It's not always about you!!!" (But if you think I'm referring to you anyway, then I probably am.)
