Well, Nia, did you at least wear an item of green today?
And no, Allie meant that it was her home computer that didn't have the internet....she still has her laptop...or a friendly neighbour with internet access...or a small dwarf she can ride into CT to see me...right? RIGHT??
*weeps*

I can't deal. Allie, we were just becoming properly acquainted, it's too soon... PLEASE, PLEASE find a way to post. Local library?
No one pinched me and I didn't have a speck of green on. Whoo.

Nia, how Irish are you anyway? I have definite Irish blood. Are you a true Irishgal or just a wannabe?
b_s_t - Tsk, tsk...forgetting St.Paddy's Day...bad b_s_t.

Nope, I'm really Irish.
BST, you and me both! I have had standardized tests all week. Shoot me.
I hope you guys don't mind my invasion of this thread, by the way.
of course not nia, you're welcome here anytime!
10 days until NY!!!!!!!!

Oh, I invaded it long ago, Nia...stay a while, they don't bite.
And are you truly Irish? How far back is the first Irish-born relative? I even have an Irish middle name. So there...*raspberry*
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/7/04
Hey, I am Irish! My last name is, I think- either that or my grandma's maiden name is. And I wasn't aware that Eleanor was Irish. Hm.
BST, have fun! Aren't you going to school there? And thanks for letting me join in here occasionally.
Yeah, I'll be starting grad school at NYU in September...but I'm flying there on the 27th for SH*Ts and giggles.

I said my middle name...and my last name too for that matter! *double raspberry*
What's your middle name ellie?

Have fun SH*Tting and giggling in the big apple!
Question: Do you think you will really be on bway someday? That's not meant to knock you at all, I'm just curious.
Ellie, I am too mature to even respond to that. Run along and play with the other leprechauns.

So I take it that Nia is in fact, not Irish, after all. I knew it!

Is there ANYONE else who can distract BST and I from Ellie?
Som....honestly, I don't know. I think that I have a decent shot. I'm talented, I'm not horrible to look at....I know that one thing that will work to my advantage is my passion. I love theatre, I love performing more than anything. It's the one thing I want to do with my life, and I'll do whatever necessary to make it happen. Hell, I'm 20, and I'm moving 3000 miles away from my family and the friends I've grown up with. I may not ever be a huge star, but I'd like to think I'll make it someday. And don't worry, I didn't think you were knocking me.
What do you guys want to be when you grow up?

When there's a will, there's a way. You sound like you really love it. If I ever see a Sivon listed in my playbill someday, and I just might, you better believe I'll be stagedooring and telling you that I knew you could do it.
Me.. I WANT to be a writer, but I have issues with the whole discipline thing. If I get off my ass and work on it, I'm going to apply to a creative writing camp this summer.
Well, if you're in Northern California between May 27 and June 19, you will see a Sivon in your playbill....or your program, rather.
And you'd definitely have to stagedoor. Though I don't know what my name will be. I'm flirting with the idea of a stage name...though I'd most likely just change my last name.

I want to be a writer too!!!!!!!!! I would love, love, LOVE to write children's books, and illustrate them myself. That would be my absolute DREAM. However, I never think anything I write is good enough, and end up starting over about a hundred times before eventually giving up.
And b_s_t, I'll be stage-dooring too! You will sign my Playbill, right?
Of course I'll sign your playbill. But no pictures. And no one's allowed to touch me.
What kind of writing do you want to do Som?
Broadway Legend Joined: 9/20/04
Aw, I wanted to touch you.
What show will you be appearing in?
Sorry for not knowing!
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/7/04
BST, don't change your first name! How else will I recognize you? And Sivon is really nifty and different, you don't need something else. If your last name is odd, hard to pronounce or boring I can see why you'd change that, though.
Exactly, Ellie. Except I'm more of a novelist than a kids' books kind of girl. What topic would you use? How can you tell if you're Irish enough?
Broadway Legend Joined: 9/20/04
Well, when I say children's books, I mean more Harry Potter/Roald Dahl than Dr.Seuss/Madonna...novels, but not adult novels. Ooooh, adult novels!
And to classify your Irishness, how far back do you have to go before one of your relatives is Irish-born?

Not sure on Irishness, Ellie. I can check though.
The next JK Rowling, eh? Nifty! I want to do fantasy/realistic fictionish writing. We'll see how that goes.
Som, I'll probably keep my first name...I've gotten to like it. My last name, not so much. And I'd use my middle name as a last name, but I don't think it works that well.
And Ellie, I might let you touch me....we'll see.
I'm going to be in "Picnic", by William Inge. I'm excited. I have a small part, but I'm understudying the lead. And I love the show, so just being in it is great.

Not sure, huh? Not Irish, then.
And do you mean LOTR-style writing, or kind of sci-fi?
