Hey ladies...just popping to say that I'd be in for Lennon (preferably w/ the cheap, $47 tix, since it's looking like this is going to be a bitch of a week for me, $$ wise)...Oh, Tiff! They added a few more dates for McCartney on ticketbastard(still no MSG) and most of them have $50-ish cheap seats, but 3 or 4 of them randomly start at $125-75. Hope that's not the case w/ NYC!!! Let me know if you decidet to totally go for broke w/ this trip and want in for Wed. McCartney too.

ETA: I just checked out the Alex Hotel website. Looks pretty swanky!!! But, I'm afraid the poor schlep is going to have to pass on this particular facet of the weekend of debauchery. I'd love to pop in for a bit, but there's no way I'll be able to swing $200 or so for my share to chip in to stay there. I'd love to, but w/ 3 concerts, at least 1 non-student discounted Broadway show, dinner and drinks for several days...yeah.
*passes an umbrella, what w/ having rained on the parade and all*

Yay on McCartney! Unfortunately, I think it's fairly unlikely that I'll be able to come in any earlier without making Sivon hate me because I'll be staying with her for a full week then. (And she smells pretty badly, but blames it on me.) Perhaps if I bribe her with a McCartney ticket too? <font color=red><font size='5'>No need to smear your pap And for some reason, hotel rooms are stupidly expensive for that week in October, no matter what days I stay there. (I don't understand it! The Super 8 Times Square was $85 during low season last year, and now it's $179!!! <font color=red><font size='5'>No need to smear your pap) So for now, buy two tickets so you can sell the other one to a friend/on eBay if I can't make it. But for sure if logistically I'm able to come earlier, I will!

Also, don't look at the Alex prices on the official site! It'll freak you out! Expedia.com has the suite for $399, and divided by the number of us crashing that night, it'll be well under $100/person.

Also, Beks...uhhh...somehow I don't think, "I'm meeting up in the big city with a bunch of older people I befriended online." will be the best approach. Would you be coming in on the Saturday (8th) or Sunday (9th)? How late would you be able to stay in the city? I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to hang out over night, right? If you have the choice, I would recommend the 8th. Even though you'll miss out on my birthday, it'll probably be consisting of drinking and strippers, which we don't want to taint your innocent mind with.

If you come on the 8th, you can still soak up the glamour of the hotel during the day, come with us to "Lennon" and dinner at Riingo (I seriously LOVE this Beatles theme!), and then hang out with Siv, Nikki and Allie at the hotel in the evening.

If you come on the 9th, we'll be checking out the hotel, probably doing some sightseeing for Allie's benefit, some shopping (ideally Greenwich and 5th Ave.), possibly catch an afternoon show (Rent?), and then go for a swank dinner at 21 Club, which I don't know if you're up for.

Lemme know what date you'd prefer and then I can help you manipulate your parents!

(You know, to an objective lurker on this site, don't we come off like online predators??)

Well Tiff, $400/4 is definitely less scary that $900+ taxes, etc that was on the Alex site. Still going to be a wicked expensive week, but that's more certainly more do-able (should you need a 4th person to book the room...though the later I could pay y'all, the better).

If it'd sway you any, I can put you up for a couple of nights should you decide to come earlier for McCartney. I've got a lovely couch in my dorm. Who knows what naughtiness has gone on there in years past, but...Anyway, I'll definitely buy a pair (assuming it's not totally nuts and I can get a pair of $50 tix) and just play it by ear.

This Paul McCartney concert has really put a plopper on my plans...it's so annoying to know I'll be in the city just days later, so...I just have to see Paul too! But that's a major headache. <font color=red><font size='5'>No need to smear your pap Why couldn't he play the Sunday? It would be so much easier for me! What a silly Beatle he is.

And I should be able to ditch my friends easily enough. I have "family" who will "insist on seeing me."

Whee! I imagine it'll be Siv or my credit card that'll be booking the hotel, and I doubt you'll have to pay particularly early. I'm not going to find out my law school status until mid-June, so it likely won't be under late-June/early-August that we'll start booking stuff anyway. I think if we book on Expedia, we need to pay in full, so I won't be banging on people's doors to help me pay off my credit card bills until late summer at the earliest.

And yes, crashing at your dorm is a huge selling point! (By "a lovely couch in my dorm", do you mean in your dorm room, or the communal living room? Oh, to be a hobo and scare the bejesus out of the Pace kids!)

Blame Siv, Fishie. She's as classy at Roseanne Barr at a Pizza Hut. I was content to be nursing a "drunk" for 3 hours and then throwing up. (Best typo of last night.)

Ellie, are you coming in for Paul? I figure not, since you're a lesser Beatles fan.

And yes, you will have "family" who "insist on seeing [you]". Just tell them it's your abusive alcoholic big sis. Saturday and Sunday should be divine. (Too bad you'll miss out on the Saturday festivities, Ellie! But Sunday sightseeing/shopping should be really fun!)

The couch is in my room. If it's the same as the one that's in my room this semester, you'll be treated to a fine night's sleep one upholstered in lovely red corduroy. You'd probably be better off sleeping on the new-ish leather couches in the lounge though!

Ellie, I'm sorry you'll miss out on Paul. He's supposed to be going to Hartford though (I believe...ummm, I forget when).

Re: The Alex, who’s planning on staying there for the night on Sat? If you’ve already got 4 people, it won’t be a biggie for me to pass on it. It can be the Bitches powwow. Consider me a last resort on that if you need a fourth person.

Aww, Fishie, I'm sure you're the cutest huge, disgusting and big-hipped girl ever! (Plus you're not a bottle-blonde, like Sister Ellie.)

Mabel, nothing's confirmed for who's staying there on Saturday night. For sure Siv and me...(rrorr), probably Nikki, Allie (if she ends up coming)...we don't know yet. It doesn't have to be four people either. We're going for a "the more, the merrier" theme, plus it'll wind up saving all of us money!

Anyway, my loves, I've got to go to work to fund this trip! (Okay, fund my Seattle outing next week - who am I kidding.) Be back in a few hours!

The more the merrier is certainly cool w/ me...though I'm curious how pissy the swanky hotel will be concerning a gaggle of teens/20-somethings flocking in. Whatever. I guess that's the pauper in me getting freaked by the uber-rich. I get visions of some snooty consierge w/ a faux British accent getting all uppity. Though how the hell are they going to know how many we sneak in?? Scratch this rant.
