Dear BroadwayWorld.com members,
I'm sorry for starting yet another Wicked thread, and for saying the same thing others have said before, but I thought that coming from someone with a screen name like mine it might help everyone realize the ongoing Wicked "problem". Wicked fans, I love Wicked too. It's a good musical, but it's not the only one. There are many more musicals out there that are wonderful, that I think you would love. The board seems to be overrun with un-needed and un-wanted posts and threads about Wicked. The board has a search function that allows you to search for threads about a subject you may want knowledge of, instead of starting a new one. Also, if you would like, there are a few Wicked message boards out there that may help you out more with your questions. So I just want to ask all of you if you would take into consideration that there is a lot of un-needed topics about Wicked, which can turn into fights and what not. This is a community of Broadway and theatre lovers from all over and we should really try to have consideration for one another.
Wicked is a Broadway musical so it should be discussed, but not to the lengths that it is. Non-Wicked fans, I know you get sick of people posting about Wicked, but there should be a few topics about, just like every other, but (to Wicked fans:)let's tone our exessive Wicked posting down. I really think this would help us to all get along and not be a Wicked "hating" board.
It took a lot of courage for me to post this because I'm shy and I don't post a lot. Most of you probably have never even seen me post, but I do lurk often and catch up on all Broadway news. I don't just like Wicked, but many other shows. I know this has been posted many times, but I thought coming from a neutral member it might make a difference. I'm not a "shill", I don't obssess over Wicked. Again I say that I am sorry for yet another Wicked post.

Wow, that must have taken LOTS of courage. I agree, I'm a major Wicked fan, and as most people on the boards know, the second I got here, that was basically all I posted about. But now I don't only post about Wicked, and I learned to love other musicals too. So anyway, sorry if that was cheesy, but kudos to you for posting that.

Thanks, I'm shy and I don't even want people on the board to not like me especially be branded a "shill". But I'm glad I posted. We've had some funny threads about Wicked too, so I guess it does provide us some humor. (I'll never forget Liam's: Like hav u eva seen Wicked?) But it is posted about too much.

That literally made me laugh out really loud!
to wicked and non wicked fans? couldn't you have just wrote "to everyone"?...
Well, what about the poor, sad people who don't know what Wicked is?
not know what wicked is? god forbid!

I suppose I could have put to everyone, but this way it says something about the post's content.
Was that Liam's first mistake-free posting?

Now, we have thousands of "I LUV WICKED" threads...thousands of "I HATE WICKED/WICKED FANS" threads...now, we finally have one thousand "Leave Wicked Fans alone" threads.
Thanks you.

applause for your post. honestly, i agree with you, but this thread will soon disappear into the oblivion that is the second page.
as a (quiet) wicked fan, i have done my part in trying to stop the wicked bashing as well, but i've given up. there will always be those who feel the need to share that "they luvvvvv wicked" with everyone, and hense continue the reputation that all wicked fans are immature and unable to like any other theatre (which isn't true).
oh, and misterussell, i think liam's had a mistake-free post before.
