My first thought was Tom Cruise and the fat old guy from Wendy's (Dave Thomas.) Who's also dead. I had to google Rob Thomas to discover who he is.

A website called Independent Sources had an article but lawuers yanked it from the web. (You can still find it x-posted on Datalounge--do a search.)

PUH-LEEZ...using DL or any other rag as an irrefutable source or saying things like 'most rumors end up being true' is just silly.

There were lots of people who turned on the radio and heard the original Orson Welles War of the Worlds and thought that was true too. The number of people who think something is true and repeat it, doesn't make it any more or less true.

I don't have any love for Cruise...I happen to think he started out as a less than talented actor who was full of himself and has deteriorated into a raving lunatic...but to quote these rumors as fact is just silly.

Whatever he is...gay, bi, straight is his business and if there is 'evidence' to show his orientation then I guess it will come out in time in some reputable form...but let's not look to the Star or the DL threads to give us our daily news.

I don't believe anyone stated this as fact. It VERY clearly says RUMOR in the title, in fact.

However, much of the "gossip" actually has ended up being true. Rock Hudson...gay. Demi Moore is/isn't pregnant- yes she is. Brad/Angelina dating? Yes. No. Yes. No. Actually, yes. These people are human beings (well, maybe not Tom Cruise), and their actions are what some people make a living reporting on. So at some point, it's going to come out in the open.

And did you really just compare War of the Worlds' impact to a Tom Cruise gossip item???

Rock Hudson is Gay? Funny you should mention that. I assume you ar far too young to remember that when Rock Hudson was alive, the rumor actually was that he & Jim Nabors were "Married." Now, indeed, Rock Hudson turned out to be gay, but what about Rod Stewart? He was the victim of as many rumors as Hudson. What about Hilary Clinton? She's being labeled a Lesbian because of "rumors" like this right now.

This "Rumor" is absurd. In the days before the Internet, if someone spread a story like this it was called "libel" and they were sued.

Someone told me that Tom Cruise is gay and that the Church of Scientology is blackmailing him to support their church or else they'll "out" him with supposed proof of his gay life.

Anyone else hear this? I'm skeptical.

Do I think he's crazy? Yes.
