re: Tom DeLay Says John McCain Is DESTROYING the Repub Party

Well I didn't believe it before, but now that TOM DELAY has said it, the Republican party is DEFINITELY over!

Not drilling in Anwar is anti-Republican?

One of the greatest environmentalist Governors my state has had was a Republican (though a moderate one).

maybe that should be the third party - the Moderate party

Christians United For Israel - I hate that Israel has let itself be used by these people.

And, this should be used the next time Lieberman runs for office.

Kinda makes you long for the days of I Like Ike. At least Mamie gave us a great fudge recipe.

re: Tom DeLay Says John McCain Is DESTROYING the Repub Party

Actually, I think McCain should take this as a reverse endorsement--who is more loathed (by Republicans AND Democrats) than Tom DeLay? He may have been feared back when he had power, but now they can't get far enough away from him (sort of like the present Repub candidates and George W.).

I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

re: Tom DeLay Says John McCain Is DESTROYING the Repub Party

Of this batch of mediocre Republicans running for the nomination, McCain is the only remotely electable one of this sorry bunch.

And anyone, much less Delay, is saying he is destroying the party? Ha!

Repeat after me, "McCain is not a liberal or progressive. He is barely a moderate. On many issues that are held near and dear by many posters on this board (equal rights, choice, Iraq), he is as reactionary as the rest."

as he uses the bully pulpit of the times to explain why the gop is not disintegrating, but merely defying the kind of trickle-down leadership that has failed the party.
