"Totally Obsessed" aka Losers on Parade

Has anyone seen "Totally Obsessed" on VH1? Holy crap, there are some pathetic people on this planet. Right now there's a guy who is obsessed with Pac-Man. I can't even begin to describe what a loser this guy is. He treats it like a religion. How this guy found a wife is beyond me.
Anyone else seen this televised freak show?

Uh, guys, lest not we forget, many would find our obssession with theatre and Broadway very odd and strange.

Yes, but at least we don't make gaining 600 lbs our life's goal, or raise a Cabbage Patch Kid as a child (no, I'm not making this up). There's weird and then there's WEIRD.

Weird? You mean like painting yourself green and waiting outside a stage door for two and a half hours? Not that I've ever done that...but you hear stories.

OMG. It's like MTV I want a famous face...... where the people are completely obsessed with their favorite star and they want plastic surgery to look like them. Those people are FREAKY

reverendshoebox, I admire the fact that you took all the time to do this and I also think that it is great to have a hobby. And even though I love everyone to pieces on this board, I don't think that they should be making fun of anyone on this show. TV makes everyone look how the producers want them to look. I doubt the people on the show are nearly half as bad as they seem and they seem like genuinly good people so I do not understand the teasing. And I'm not perfect, I tease and make fun of people too but in this situation I just think that it was wrong.

I loves me some Pac Man... I still have my table top Pac Man mini arcade game from when I was little. God I love that thing lol

Anyway... yeah.... MTV and VH1 are a little, er, scary at times. They like to make everything look worse than it is. I haven't seen any episodes of this particular show yet, but I admire you for taking the time to post here -- especially at the risk of getting picked apart. The scariest one yet is the woman who has lifesize cardboard cutouts of all of the lord of the rings characters. She takes them everywhere she goes and talks to them like they are real people. They showed a clip of her even taking them out to a restaurant and they each had a table setting. ahhhhhh!!!

I have never seen this show but, in reading all the posts here describing it, I have to wonder if some of these people are putting on an act to get on tv. Sure, there are some people who have obsessions that go too far but, some of these sound much too strange.

I remember one episode where one guy wanted to be Elvis. He got a chemical peel on his face, and after surgery his face was green from the peel. Not to mention, his lips were swollen from lip implants and he looked like a frog.

YES thats like the only shows I will watch on that channel... makes me miss the 80's though...
