Is there any way that this can be done?

Thanks.

Yes!

I use a device called "iMic" which plugs into the headphone jack of a stereo, and then into the USB port on my computer.

What are you transferring?

Husk's way is easier, but the link will walk you through the process step by step.

If you need to dl the software, be aware that it's free and all the links are provided.

If you go to thinkgeek.com they have a number of devices for transferring cassettes and Lps to mp3. They have fairly good prices and the website usually includes pictures of the device in action.

If the album is old enough to be on a cassette, the CD is probably super cheap.

I'm talking bargain bin at the FYE.

I assume this is for recordings that are not on cd, Ivan.

Thanks for this info, kids!

Did I s-s-s-stutter? I've never addressed you before, actually.

I have a stand alone burner at home. I can burn cassttes, vinyl and any audio from my DVD or VCR onto CD's. Since I don't have a DVR I tape everything on my VCR. So I was able to put a few televised concerts on CD, which was nice. Recorded one of Audra's Lincoln Center concerts.
