There seems to be a lot of speculation that a surrogate is actually carrying their child. What say ye?



Those are some crazy shoes to be wearing when you're 6 months pregnant! And she is showing no weight gain elsewhere. (Which isn't uncommon, but just adds to the gossip. lol)

I think it's a total lie. her bump seems to fluctuate every day, and my friend saw her when she did her Roseland concert right before the national announcement, and said that in no way was she showing any type of baby bump, and all of a sudden there it is on national television for the world to see.

That picture of her sitting down confirms my suspicions even more. Babies don't deflate when Mommies bend over.

What celebrities will do to stay in the limelight.......

I'm pretty sure she really is pregnant. If it was a surrogate, why bother to pretend? I don't get the logic - SJP didn't feel the need to con the world, and she's a much better actress.

I don't know what the point of lying is either. As far as the deflating baby bump - I agree that does look weird. When I was 6 months pregnant, I wasn't showing very much except a tiny bump. The last few months is when I got big, and even then it was only my stomach - straight out in front.

My friend who saw her at Birdland has this theory that I thought was crazy, but after further reflection started making alot of sense. He says that her latest Album "4" did not really do that well (when compared to other Beyonce albums), She needs the publcitiy, but she has already achieved so much at her young age, there's not really anything else for her to do right now, so a baby would be a good excuse to go into semi retirement for a few years to focus on being a mother, and then when she is ready again she'll debut a huge project, a comeback of sorts. Of course her physique is pretty famous, and having a child would definatlely change her appearance for months, maybe even years after she has one. So is she goes through a surrogate, she doesn't have to worry about losing those baby pounds.

It does sound crazy, and awfully manipulative, but the more I think about it the more it seems like it could be plausible. If we can all speculate about fake marriages (Tom and Katie, Will and Jada, Kim and Cris), then I don't really think a fake pregnancy is that far off. We all know the nature of celebrity in Hollywood is a sham, and it's how you stay in the headlines that counts, and if you can play the game the right way, you can do anything you want and the public will buy into it.
