how strange... I just read the article and joined twitter before reading this post. I decided to try it before I pass judgement on it. Anyone on and wanna talk theatre stuff? =)

Too ADD for me.

I just...don't get it. I can't imagine anyone cares about what I'm doing/thinking at any time of the day, and for the most part, I don't care what anyone else is doing/thinking. I suppose it's one thing for celebs to keep fans updated this way, but for us peons, I think it's a little ridiculous. I like how they say it's "lowering the bar." From facebook. Right.

I don't understand Twitter either. It's like updating your Facebook status all the time. I don't see the point.

I don't even like updating my status on facebook more than once a week TOPS. I don't think Twitter would sit well with me.

Exactly. It's like "John just walked the dog and is now eating a bagel", "John finished eating his bagel and now is watching TV", "John is done watching TV and is going to take a nap", "John is napping", "John enjoyed is nap and is now going out for a walk".

I'm on Twitter also but sort of finding it a chore to care/do. I update my Facebook status quite often, and find Twitter to be repetitive. I suppose the only reason I'm a fan of Twitter is that I can update it using text-messages (I don't have an iphone yet) when I see something fun on the street. Also, I've given my link to my mom, sister, gramma so they can "keep tabs" on me without being over-snoopy or overly-complicated to access the site.

Long and the short: I've got one but hardly an avid user. It's Facebook 100% for me 24/7.

I have it because it's less common than Facebook, thus allowing me to type a one-two sentence rant that has less chance of being seen by that person. Cowardly? Maybe, but it keeps me from killing people.
