A friend of mine sent me this quote from the Wall Street Journal. You have to pay to access the site so I can't confirm it (if anyone else can, please do.)
If this is true, it is really horrifying. Using Katrina to get young men to join the military?
"C'mon, guys, you got nothing better to do now. Why not go to Iraq?" The "right time?" Kick em while they are down...

"Ten U.S. Army recruiters are offering volunteer help for Katrina evacuees at Houston's Astrodome. But the recruiters, struggling to keep enlistment up during Iraq war, are also available with options for the jobless. "Our intent is to approach the evacuees at the right time for them,' says Army spokesman Douglas Smith."
