Lexi Randall from The War with Costner and Elijah Wood and the tv version of Heidi (she was Klara) is definitely underappreciated. She also played Randa on Designing Women. She hasn't done any film or tv roles for several years, but I hope she will soon.

Ooooh, MasterLcZ, that's a good one.

Just an aside...I would hardly call Spanky McFarland, Tommy Kirk or Kevin Cochoran underappreciated. Spanky was a mega-star in his day. Huge! Almost as big as Shirley Temple. Tommy and Kevin starred in (and carried) many popular, classic Disney films.

They might have been underpaid... but the public was in love with them and very much knew who they were.

Some other ones who were on Designing Women: Connie Lew, who played the girl who stayed with Suzanne before she was adopted and was also on Kids Incorporated. Plus, Olivia Burnette, who played one of J.D.'s kids and was on the Torkelsons, too.

There's a wonderful German version of Heidi I think from about 1951, which stars in the title role a little German actress caled Elsbeth Sigmund. A truly great performance.
Also, Kate Maberly in the 1993 version of the Secret Garden I think did a wonderful job

Jodhi May gave a terrific performance as Barbara Hershey's daughter in A World Apart.

Another is Sarah Polley, who was just wonderful on Ramona and Avonlea.
