Was Tommy Kirk the kid in "Thw Window", from the 1950's?
Tommy Kirk was the kid in Old Yeller, not sure about The Window.
He's an out and proud Mickey Mouse Clubber...unlike Bobby, who still maintains his straightness.
Bobby Driscoll was the kid in The Window.

Thanks MrMidwest for the Driscoll info!

He was a kid evangelist who ended up on The Love Boat, then nowhere.

Good Lord is right. That's little Marjoe fleecing the flocks at age 5, 1948.
He was never on Love Boat.
oops...sorry...I meant he was on "Fantasy Island". Twice....and "Hotel"...and Circus of the Stars 5 times.
Thanks!
Any of you ever seen the fantastic documentary style movie called "The Little Fugitive"? I caught that years ago, and still have a VHS of it. It's from the mid fifties, and chronicles the journey of a NY kid (about 6) running away to Coney Island after his brother tricks him into believing that he killed him.

did that really happen? or a scripted docu?
Scripted documentary, and it was really very well done. The 6 year old actor (name escapes me -tape at home) was perfect in the role, and the storyline, as well as the footage of Coney Island...was great. I highly recommend it, if you can find it!
Richie Andrusco played the title character
The Little Fugitive is considered a classic.
Ben Tibber gave a remarkable performance in "I Am David".
I really liked Miko Hughes until Mercury Rising and that killed it for me. Just awful.
Andrei Chalimon was absolutely heartbreaking in Kolya. One of the best performances by a child I've ever seen. The scene in the bathtub where he tries to call his dead mother on the telephone is utterly devastating.
I also loved Brad Renfro (The Client, Apt Pupil) and Lucas Black (Sling Blade, American Gothic).
Thanks Doodle! I can't post pictures..but would have! I assume you saw it then?
Don't we have a whole thread devoted to Marjoe?

Yeah! I read that. Talented family.
Totally agree about Virginia Weidler. Wonderful actress. Quit MGM in 1943 and show biz in 1945. Became a wife and mother and died young when only in her early '40s.
Marsha Mae Jones. Heartbreakingly good in THESE THREE and HEIDI.
Bobby Breen.
Weidler was a master at her craft and she started very early, thanks to her opera star mother. I saw her in a movie called "Girl of the Ozarks" a rare film to find from 1934 or 1935. Think she was around 7 or so. It was a lead role for her and she had the accent down and mannerisms as well. A true talent.
How sad to find out she died so young.
I liked Danielle Harris in Halloween 4 quite a bit.
I also think the girl who played Izzy on Avonlea was very good.
Kim Richards gave a solid performance in Escape to Witch Mountain. As did her sister Kyle in Halloween and Watcher in the Woods.
I kinda liked Mikki Allen's performance in REGARDING HENRY (Harrsion Ford and Annette Bening). I think she was about 11 or 12 when she made the film, and she was heartbreaking.
Alakina Mann was terrific in The Others.
