One of the entertainment shows reported that his first wife filed for divorce (irrevocably (or something like that) broken- do you think he had an affair?). Anyway, apparently, he's an insurance agent who makes 60,000 a year. His ex-wife makes $80,000 a year. She's an ex-model and SHE pays child support! Also, she has major custody. He's not a single father who is solely raising his son. Wow- what a catch!

Well, is Jason the custodial parent? If so, so what if SHE is paying support towards her son's care? Why shouldn't she?

Since he has a little boy, I think he's a tool for coming on the show to find a relationship and using his son as his sob story. But what's the big brouhaha over child support? If a couple divorces, both have a responsibility to take care of their kid. Having a vagina doesn't give her a pass. She works and makes more money than he does so I don't feel sorry for her having to contribute financially.

Yeah, and no offense, but I dont like the implication that he's a loser because of the amount of money he makes, or speculating why they broke up...I'm certainly no fan, but I dont think he's made any offenses except picking the wrong woman at the finale, and leaving his son for two seasons of this crap.

I will reiterate that a few of the women on the show also left their kids to "pursue love".

But why is she paying child support to him, if she's the one who has primary custody?

I assume that he is no longer working as an insurance agent. He is probably trying to get a booking on Hollywood Squares!

I can't imagine why he would have primary custody unless she did something. 99.9% of the time primary custody goes to the mother, or they get joint custody.

But if he does, then yes she should pay child support.

On the show it was repeatedly mentioned that he has primary custody (I actually thought full custody) and I havent seen or heard anything different. I dont mean to question mom, the op...I just need things to be more substantiated before I rail against someone.

I havent heard a good argument as to why he is any more of a tool than any of the other bachelors...none of them stuck with their choices either, and I'm sure they were strung along longer.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone. I think she has to pay something to him- like alimony. The report did not say irreconcilable differences- it said broken. The report also said that Jason didn't have primary custody. I'm just reporting what Entertainment Tonight/The Insider said. Personally, I think he's a little creepy. Charlie Gibson was commenting on his bad grammar on the Bonnie Hunt Show- it was funny. My point was that the other bachelors were all millionaires or professional athletes or world travelers. What did this guy have going for him? I just didn't think he had a backbone. Also, he kept going on all the shows saying he was happy and engaged but they knew halfway through shooting the season that he was in love with Molly. The whole thing happened in November and January and he was lying on all the talk shows. He didn't have to say anything! The way he was rubbing Molly's arm up and down and how he was making out with her on TV was just creepy- GET A ROOM! Sorry for the confusion. I'll have to see if I can find a better report on ET online.

See, now I've read TOO MUCH on this stupid show to defend someone I couldnt care less about, but supposedly on the Ellen Degeneres show, Melissa admits that she knew before she was brought out on tv, and the truly creepy host says they were already broken up, but it was quicker than other bach. breakups so they had a chance at the switcheroo...

Mom, I dont understand your argument about the net worth of the other bachelors. He was asked by the producers to be the next bachelor after being dumped by DeeAna (another breakup). He never claimed to be a millionare or world traveler, so that expectation is yours.

I think people are pissed that he isnt the prince charming they wanted him to be...but he didnt break up with america, just one girl.

And I never thought the body was at all related to the person. I'm not surprised they made him work out so that he'd look good shirtless. I bet he didn't have one muscle in the beginning. Besides tool, I'm saying wimp.

doodle- I understand your arguments. I'm not upset that Cinderella got dumped at all. I just don't like the way the whole thing was handled- which was poorly in my opinion. The only reason I brought up the net worth is because that's what the show brought to the table when it first started. They made it seem like someone was a great catch because he was rich. Jason didn't really fit that bill. I watch as a cynic and in tongue and cheek. It's fun to hear my teenagers' opinions as they watch. (my daughter kept asking how he could make out so freely with everyone) Basically, we are watching a person cheat on their significant other on TV and it is accepted by America. I kinda get a kick out of the irony of that! I also think it's funny how they get so much publicity out of this. Jason has been on every show and he continues to keep coming on them to explain himself. I'm actually more mad at myself for involving so much of my time and being duped by the network who knew pretty much all along what was happening. Yet, I will continue to watch- go figure- I love pop culture!
