You have to understand, there's a rule. Only about 1 in 10 good shows will do well. Same goes for the bad shows, really, but since there's about 20 bad shows to every good one...well, you see the results. Or maybe you don't. I know I'm not watching. :)
It just doesn't make sense to me that some AWFUL shows are so popular and a smart, funny, touching show like VM has no viewers. If people watch it just once they should be hooked. What is wrong with people?!
I watch my season 1 VM dvds all the time and the show never gets stale.

Yeah, I kind of watched the second half of Season 1 over the last weekend. Instead of doing homework. But damn, it's just fantastic from "An Echolls Family Christmas" on forward. And how can you possibly stop once you get to the last 4 or 5 episodes?
I know, right? I'll spend an entire day watching it, even if I have tons of other crap to do, because I just can't stop.
I have to say that I liked season 1 slightly more than season 2 so far, though. And the introduction of this Hannah character isn't making me too happy right now.

Oh, please don't fall for "she broke up my OTP" syndrome. Because I'd seriously lose respect for you then. :)
Hannah, for now, is a cute cypher, kind of like Jane. And it looks like the poor girl is being used by Logan, so if anything, you should feel bad for her.
*sheepishly erases rant about how LoVe is the most perfect couple ever and must end up together or else I'll stop watching forever and spend the rest of my life crying*
Don't worry, I won't get all sentimental about LoVe. Hannah just bugs me for some reason.

Fair enough. But really, I think Veronica has as much chemistry with Weevil as with Logan. Doesn't make either one of them a good boyfriend for her.
I
Weevil, and the scenes between him and Veronica are always fabulous, but I just see their attraction as a strong friendship and I think it works well that way. I think she has potential for a real relationship with Logan if he just decides to grow up.

So you aren't the least bit worried by the de-gangifying of Weevil? :P (Of course she'll never date him; her poor dad would have an aneurysm.)
haha. I'd love to see her date him just to see how Keith would react.

He was pretty alarmed when she gave him math tutoring. :P
That said, if the show lasts another...3 seasons, and Weevil cleans up (not that I want him to), maybe, maybe it could happen. Still, he is what he is and that makes him a great, ambiguous character.
Watched all of first season (and loved it) and just now getting into season 2 (was really busy this year), thanks to someone who uploaded all the season 2 eps in MP4 format that I put on my ipod and watched during a 12hr work day haha...now i'm hooked again haha...
and I have to agree Logan/Veronica is the cutest couple ever and I want them back together *sheepish grin* and that's half the reason I didn't watch past ep 2 this season until recently...
Love this show. It is literally the highlight of my week. So far, I've gotten 2 of my friends and my mother all hooked on it.
Once people watch an episode, they can't turn away.

I adored the first season. It was like one long novel that I didn't want to end. The second season has been a major disappointment. The overriding mystery is a bore, and the new characters are just annoying. The plotting is particularly weak as stories are dropped at will or the writers rely upon the idiot plot--Veronica failing to ask Meg what happened during the crash is a prime example. I'm not surprised the show is dooing poorly in the rating. The show can not attract ratings by itself; it needs to follow a show that has much higher rating. People keep saying that DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES is undergoing a sophomore slump, but VM's second season has been such a letdown for me.

It's just been kind of up and down. There's been too many plot threads to make up for not having a few hugely compelling ones like last year. (But you can't repeat the murdered friends and rape pattern every year.) There's been moments of brilliance, as in "Rat Saw God", and moments of oy vey, as in "One Angry Veronica". But I think the show is getting its act together again, and has been since the aforementioned "One Angry Veronica". It's cleaned up the mess from that godawful Meg storyline, for a start.
This is a few days old, but it's a good interview with Kristen Bell. I think the rest of this season will just keep getting better and better; according to Kristen the resolution of the bus crash will be a fantastic ending to the season.

Elphie! I love WEEVIL!!!
He is uberly cute and Logan.
Those two and me. Ahhh now that is like the greatest fantasy.
That's one thing I never got about Kristen Bell and Sarah Michelle Gellar...they both chose the boring "star crossed lover" guys for their characters.
I never found Duncan or Angel anywhere NEAR compelling enough. Then again, I've never found the character of Romeo very compelling either.
Yeah, I don't find Duncan compelling as her love interest, either. Maybe he's good for her, but it makes for boring television.
I say bring on the chemistry, passion, tension, etc.
I don't even think he was good for her. He lied, he compartmentalized...blah. At least Logan's flaws are out in the open for everyone to see.

Duncan started out as an interesting character, but the writers tried to maintain his air of mystery for too long. Eventually, not revealing anything just leads readers to assume he's boring. Logan worked just fine as a red herring even with a surfeit of personality- I just wish they'd done the same thing with Duncan.
Useless Trivia: If someone had leaked Aaron's name as Lilly's killer, Duncan was the alternate killer. Creepy.
I kind of accidentally heard an interesting spoiler. It's not that surprising once you hear about it- it's something that has to happen eventually- but I guess knowing it'll happen this season constitutes a spoiler.
Ooh, can you PM me the spoiler, Plum? I might already know it because I'm a spoiler whore, but I'd love to hear.
I did know that Duncan was the alternate killer, and it's a really interesting possibility to think about; this would have been a very different season had that been the case! Also, they initially wanted everyone to die in the bus crash but the network nixed that idea, so because of that they created the storyline with Meg and the baby.

What, having her comatose and knowing postentially incriminating info wasn't enough? *sigh*
